Check against delivery Ladies and gentlemen, I have always been fascinated by cars. Thats why I brought you this beautiful concept car the Audi TT offroad concept. Its fun to drive, not only when going from backstage to stage. The Audi TT offroad concept showcar is a powerful combination of a sporty coup - in the tradition of the legendary Audi TT- with a compact SUV from our successful Audi Q family. It gives you an idea of how we envision a potential future member of the Audi TT family. Why do we present this car here in China, our second home base? The answer is straightforward: This car perfectly matches the expectations of our Chinese customers. The Audi TT offroad concept is dynamic, comfortable, connected and sustainable. With that, it has all ingredients for the automobile mobility of the future. It is a plug-in hybrid with an efficient high-tech combustion 2.0 TFSI engine with four cylinders and a powerful turbo charger. This engine has been combined with two electro motors, one at the front axe and one at the rear axe. The overall system performance of 300 kW is equivalent to 408 hp. So, the car boosts from 0 to 100 in only 5.2 sec and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h. For a distance of 100 km, it needs only 1.9 l of gasoline on average. This is a CO2 equivalent of 45g/km, an excellent CO2 efficiency rate. In its purely electrical and emission-free driving mode, the Audi TT offroad concept has a range of 50 km. In total, you may go for 880 km without any charging. The driver has three different driving modes to choose from: The electric mode, the hybrid mode and the sport mode for 100 percent system performance.

The exterior design of the Audi TT offroad concept is a reference to two successful Audi model families. It has a powerful road stance as it is well-known from our Audi Q SUV family. It brings a number of Audi TT-specific details such as the coup line. In its interior, our engineers apply the full power of Audi engineering. Connectivity is an essential part of it. This showcar features two driving assistants that are close to series maturity: The intersection assistant and the traffic light assistant. The virtual cockpit is a truly revolutionary concept. It is driver-focused and makes driving even safer and more convenient. The 12.3 inch TFT display generates 3D graphics in highend quality. They support any kind of driving information as well as infotainment and entertainment services. In addition, we included three Audi smart displays to the concept car. These tablets offer fast DVD or TV streaming, radio broadcasts, navigation planning as well as internet access at high-speed LTE. In our understanding, a premium interior as described goes along with premium air conditioning systems. Our Chinese customers can already experience this in the Audi A4, Audi A5, Audi A6, Audi A7 and Audi A8 models as well as in the Audi Q5. And so we did for the Audi TT offroad concept. We use an ionisator to bring ions to the interior of the car. Driver and passengers breath fresh air, as if they took a walk at the seaside or in the mountains. Sensors activate high-end filters that keep respirable dust and gases away from the interior. When you look at the competition, this premium air quality is a unique feature of our brand. Our customers expect tailor-made solutions for performance, connectivity, convenience and efficiency. And that is what we at Audi are committed to. Stay tuned and watch out for more to come.
