The Unforgettables: Sourav Ganguly and Ravichandran Ashwin on being top of the game

Sourav Ganguly, one of the most successful Indian cricket captains and one day players, and Ravichandran Ashwin, an emerging powerhouse of cricketing talent, discuss what it takes to be on top of the game. Ashwin recalls how he began as a batsman and later a medium fast bowler but switched to off spin in which he has been very successful, scalping top batsmen in matches. The spinner also reminds Ganguly of what it was like growing up watching him play.

Sourav Ganguly: Have you had the chance to look at your own record?

Ravichandran Ashwin: I did actually and I know that you follow records as well. At one point in time, I was one of those children who used to watch you play and was inspired by the way India played cricket. Now to be on the same stage as you and be introduced by you is phenomenal as far as I'm concerned.
