In Thailand, Senior Palace Officials Fired After Ouster Of Royal Consort

A member of the Royal Household Bureau and five members of King Maha Vajiralongkorn's personal bodyguard were fired for "disloyalty" to the crown, just days after the royal consort was banished.

Thailand's king has ordered the firing of six senior officials for "extremely evil" conduct and "disloyalty" just days after similarly stark language was used to officially banish the monarch's royal consort.

It wasn't immediately clear if the dismissals by King Maha Vajiralongkorn — whose coronation took place earlier this year —
