• 50cm ( 5/8yd) pale blue linen (background)

• Large scraps of assorted print fabrics (appliqué)

• 20cm ( 1/4yd) red print fabric (binding)

• 55cm ( 5/8yd) coordinating print fabric (cushion back)

• 55cm ( 5/8yd) light-value solid fabric (cushion lining)

• One plastic dress zipper at least 65cm (26in) long in a colour to coordinate with the cushion back fabric

• Cotton batting at least 48 x 74cm (19 x 29in)

• Lightweight interfacing at least 36 x 49cm (14 x 19in)

• Cushion insert 40 x 60cm (16 x 24in) — see Cushion Insert Tip

• Machine embroidery threads to match the appliqué fabrics

• Spray adhesive

• Fusible web

• Baking paper

• Rotary cutter, ruler and mat

• Sewing machine with 1/4in and zipper feet
