1. BONE STRUCTURE
My first experience of life drawing was in the studio of the etcher John T Freeman. I was 15 years old, woefully self-conscious but eager to rise to the demands of the situation. I drew from a long, seated pose whilst John kept up a succession of anecdotes and well-timed instructions for the class. The model was a university student, who offered kind words about my drawing in the tea break.
