Spotting Australia’s beautiful butterflies

CONSIDERED A SYMBOL OF BEAUTY, change and positivity, the butterfly is one of nature’s most iconic creatures. Many find inspiration in their unique transformative life-cycle. Others simply marvel at the delicate loveliness of these colourful, fluttering beauties. Australia alone has about 440 species of butterflies and many more moth species.

Unlike other flying pollinators, each butterfly species relies on a very specific plant in order to lay their eggs, sustain their caterpillars, and host their chrysalis before they emerge transformed. These are called the butterfly host
