This reserve is next to the D707 – billed as the most scenic road in Namibia. The Little Hunter’s Rest campsite is 3 km from the main lodge. You have a view of the Tirasberg and the red dunes of the Namib Desert to the west. Camping R170 p.p. (braai, hot showers, no power). Lodge rooms from R1 329 p.p. sharing DB&B. Lunch also available. Guests must book in advance.

2 Ranch Koiimasis

Only accessible from the D707. Activities range from hiking to guided horseback riding. Camping R250 p.p. (five stands each with a braai, shared ablutions). Virosa chalet (no kitchen) has two single beds and also shares the campsite ablutions: R700 p.n, min two nights. Schwalbennest self-catering chalet is private, with two beds: R1 500 p.p, min two nights. Luxury rooms at Fest Inn Fels Farm Lodge R1 950 p.p. sharing B&B.

4 Aubures Camp

About 55 km from Helmeringhausen, next to the C27. They have guided rock art excursions, hiking trails and MTB routes that start at the campsite.

There are six stands under camel thorn trees (no electricity, but hot water for showers). Camping R300 p.n. for two guests.
