Magnificent melange
I came up with this pumpkin soup recipe one weekend when we were house-sitting a beautiful old farmhouse with a huge kitchen and a coal range.
It was raining and I felt like making soup, but without my own ingredients on hand, I had to make it up as I went along using whatever I could find. The result was definitely a keeper – it’s rich, thick and delicious.
