DON’T RUIN MY HOLIDAY
Am I crazy?’ Carol asked herself, as she got ready to go on holiday with her husband and son.
Last year, they’d camped by a river. It’d been a nightmare of sunburn, sand flies and mosquitoes.
They argued constantly. Then, on the fourth evening, there was a violent storm.
The tent collapsed. They’d fumbled in the dark, seeking protection from hail as they packed the wet gear into the boot of the car.
Nobody had spoken on the long drive home that night.
