I’D like to congratulate you on your “Legends of the sport” series; it’s been so enjoyable to read.

I wish younger readers would take note of how these legends started out, usually on inexpensive horses – it wasn’t all about getting the cheque books out and paying for success. I’ve also noticed that horses were ridden in simple bits and bridles, unlike today when they are bitted up to the nines.
