Quiet achiever

Right in the middle of this Mosman residence is a native angophora tree. A close relative of the eucalyptus, it isn’t your usual architectural centrepiece, but when Jack Freeman first laid eyes on this abandoned property with watercolour views of Sydney Heads, Manly and Middle Harbour, that handsome gum tree marked the beginning of a new project – and the soul of this new home.
