With a spectacular roadster, Audi presents the first representative of a new family of concept vehicles. Audi skysphere concept is the name of the electrically powered open two-door car whose lines lead to the Audi design of tomorrow. With it, the brand illustrates its vision for the progressive luxury segment of the future, in which the interior becomes an experience space and the vehicle an “experience device”. This is made possible by automated driving, a revolutionary redesign of the interior and a holistic digital ecosystem.

With the Audi skysphere concept, the brand shows how it is redefining future luxury. It’s no longer just about driving. The concept car was designed with the clear objective of offering its occupants fascinating and high-class experiences.

To give passengers maximum freedom, the Audi skysphere concept was designed for two different driving experiences: a Grand Touring Experience and a Sports Experience. This makes use of a spectacular technical detail - the variable wheelbase. Electric motors and a sophisticated mechanism with interlocking body and frame components make it possible to vary the wheelbase itself and the outer length by 250 millimetres. At the same time, the ground clearance is varied by 10 millimetres - a plus in favour of comfort or else driving dynamics.
