About this audiobook
Blair Mallory, last seen in To Die For, has already survived one murder attempt. Now, while planning her wedding and dealing with holiday-season madness, Blair once again dodges a bullet. Or, more precisely, a Buick. And though the driver's identity remains a mystery, his or her murderous intentions are all too clear.
Or are they? After all, Blair's homicidal ex-husband and his partner-in-crime/wife are safely behind bars. And even Wyatt Bloodsworth, Blair's police detective groom-to-be, isn't inclined to believe she's being targeted again. All of which makes Blair wonder if her close call was simply a mishap. But the wondering stops when she narrowly cheats death again in another seemingly innocent accident. Two strikes is all it takes to convince Blair that she's back in someone's crosshairs. And the only thing more frightening is that Wyatt still doubts her. That means this time no one will be watching Blair's back when she sets out to get the drop on her would-be killer-before whoever it is finally drops her.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This second Blair Mallory book was a decent story and I enjoyed reading it. It was almost predictable that each of their ex's in each story was the culprit.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5To Die For and Drop Dead Gorgeous are two books about Blair Mallory and Wyatt Bloodsworth and are set in the SOUTH.The books are unusual for Linda Howard because they are written in the first person (Blair).I really like Blair and Wyatt in both books. They are both funny, very strong personalities, real, fallible characters, comfortable in our own fictional skins. In both books they are dealing with someone trying to kill Blair. And with their own relationship, preconceptions, and or internal conflicts. Blair's is some residue about her divorce and Wyatt's initial rejection. Wyatt's is his career choice and his rejection of Blair.Confidence in a female character can be jarring because people do not consider women to be comfortable in our own skins. Women are expected to be more 'modest' or tentative in life and less definite. That is an issue in the first book when Wyatt thought Blair would be "high maintenance". This is where the regional difference shines. In the SOUTH, women are allowed to be fun, quirky, demanding, and high maintenance. In exactly the way men are. She knows who she is and what she wants and is not concerned by what people think. I find Blair to be a very human and fun character. She is aware that she appears selfish or even shallow to the world and doesn't car
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Just about as good as the first volume. Loved the ending.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Drop Dead Gorgeous was nowhere near as good as To Die For. It was an identical plot to the first book with a different killer. So basically, we read the same book twice. The narrator was horrible. Surprisingly so, I liked the narrator from book one that sounded like a 75-year-old woman better. She was much funnier than Joyce Bean. Instead of writing a second book about Blaire, the author should’ve made this a trilogy and gave Sienna and Jennifer their own stories. This book gets two thumbs down.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5This is the only book of Linda Howards that I do not like.
The first in the series (To Die For) was amazingly funny and flat out fantastic. The second outing was horrible.
By the end of the book I didn't think the Wyatt deserved Blair. Not in any way. He was a complete donkey's end and too stupid to live. Literally too stupid to walk and breathe at the same time.
I also want to say that Linda Howard is on my "auto buy that now wait is it a reissue/rename... YES new book buy buy buy" list. I have read every book I could get my hands on. Mr. Perfect, Dream Man, Cover of Night, Burn and yes To Die For are special favorites. Also the MacKenzie series... all of it! Please if this is the only book you've ever read of hers go borrow Mr. Perfect or Dream Man or Cover of Night. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I love that this novel focuses on what happens after the HEA of To Die For. The relationship aspects are very well done. Definitely as good this time around.

When her fiancé gives Blair Mallory a deadline for their wedding, she finds herself immersed in dresses, cakes, flowers and seating plans. However, an almost hit-and-run in a mall parking lot together with crank calls and a strange car convince Blair that she is being targeted once again. Wyatt, however, is skeptical. Who has it in for her now and can she convince Wyatt before it is too late?
An entertaining sequel with all of the humor, charm and sexy times that characterized the first book.
The mystery this time around is predictable and it is possible to guess the culprit right out of the gate. Nevertheless, the build up of the stalker plot toward the inevitable showdown is intense and exciting.
As in the previous book, Blair and Wyatt's romance is incredible. Their chemistry certainly hasn't waned one little bit, and they have some smokin' hot scenes together. Blair is as snarky and cute as before, but Wyatt has one or two questionable moments that almost had him joining the Anti-Hottie Harem. Thankfully, he comes through in the end and retains his Hottie status!
In sum, the Blair Mallory series is light, fun and sexy. Recommended for lovers of Linda Howard as well as those new to her books. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I'm choking, I'm dying, I cannot breathe... I am laughing at how hilarious this book is! Great characters, great story! I could go on for hours about the memorable little moments of this book that make me want to laugh out loud all over again. But, you will get no spoilers from this review. Read this book, you will not be disappointed.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Drop Dead Gorgeous is hilarious. Linda Howard must of had a blast writing this book and coming up with the character, Blair.Blair, first appeared in To Die For (2004), where we got a taste of her sassy attitude and her strange thoughts about life. She’s a high maintenence chick and she’s proud of that. She’s got backbone and lots of spunk. Over the last two novels in this series, Linda Howard has done an excellent job at developing Blair’s character.Drop Dead Gorgeous is not a plot driven book. The humor, as well as the strong chemistry between Blair and Wyatt is what keeps the book exciting. Some readers would consider the book boring because of this. But I have a hard time considering a book boring when I’m laughing my ass off. I loved it and recommend it for a fun, quick read and would suggest it, if you need a distraction. It will have you laughing in no time!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Not quite as good as the first but close enough
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5This is the sequel to "To Die For" featuring Blair Mallory. The story is told in first person, which can be extremely annoying, since Blair is a very high maintenance airhead. Cannot stand all the gameplaying with her relationship either. Ms Howard always tells a good story, but some of them can be a bit formulaic. She has written some incredibly complex satisfying books, but not for a while now. I think I'll go back and re-read "Son of the Morning". I wish I didn't think she was just writing now to make a quick buck.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Written in the first person, which took some getting used to, good story, quirky dialogue funny, sexy tense
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is the sequel to To Die For and so there are semi-spoilers for the first one, they follow on almost immediately from each other. This one once again features Blair and Wyatt and their tempestuous relationship. The two of them are so alpha it's almost a constant battleground with them, but they're fun to read. Wyatt finally sets a deadline for Blair for them to get married as he's getting impatient with her. She starts her shopping only to be nearly run over in the car park. Wyatt thinks that it's just a coincidence but Blair is pretty sure that someone is out to get her again. But who can it be? Why do they want to kill her. Until Blair's house burns around her, Wyatt isn't convinced that she's in danger again. While this is an interesting and fun read, it's almost a redux of the first story in the series and really Blair is starting to get annoying. At least though she largely learns from her mistakes.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5This book was written in first person, and "that" person is Blaire Mallory. She happens to drive me nuts, so I skimmed over a lot of material in this book. I usually like Linda Howard books, but this one was really a stinker. Mainly because of Blaire's maddening thought process. Sooo irritating.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Blair is a great character. In real life, I'd probably find her endless energy, competitiveness and sheer game-playing annoying, not to mention exhausting, but as a character she's great fun. Howard also nicely demonstrates throughout how well-matched with Wyatt she is.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Sequels aren't supposed to be this good. Blair is again in trouble, but this time, no one believes her! Furthermore, Wyatt offers her a list of character transgressions to work on, herself. Trying to plan a wedding while trying to investigate her attacker can be murder.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5If I hadn't gotten in for free, I would never have listened to it. Yuck.
