      It's similar to dork diaries series but I really think Mackenzie Hollister and Brittany Houser should be friends they both do cruel things to there victims ???? kidding shoutout to Meg Cabot???????????

      Erica's sister invited Allie, Caroline, Rosemary and Sophie to her Twirltacular baton competition this weekend . Allie says she will go her mom if she can go. When she gets home she was about to ask her mom if she can go but her mom cuts her off and says that Brittany Hauser's mom called and she invited her to Brittany birthday party and they are going to all the places that Allie dreamed to go to. After her mom was done talking she finally told her mom about Erica's sister's competition and her mom said that she had to choose one the birthday party or the competition. Allie did not want to hurt her friends but she wanted to go to the party. She decided to go to the party and lie to her friends so that she could go to the party. Brittney starter to be so nasty and bossy to Allie . She started to regent choosing to go to the birthday and not the competition. Will she call some one to pick her up or will she just stay with Brittney? I think this is the best book out of the series that I have read yet. I like it so much because of the rules she made up. The rules this time can help you more in life or going though life. It also shows young readers that it is not nice to lie and it is easier to telling the truth. I rated this book with 5 stars because t is my favorite out of the series so far. Also because it has lots of lessons to them. Finally because I has lots of detail and I live the rules.

      Erica’s sister, Missy, is competing in the Twilacular. Allie is so excited that Erica has asked Allie and their closest friends to attend the competition. Unfortunately Allie’s mom made plans for Allie to attend a birthday party on the same day.Brittany Hauser, a frenemy from Allie’s former school, is having a big birthday celebration. Her parents are renting a BMW SUV limo to take them into the city to go to Glitterati (the IT store), dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and a night in an expensive hotel. Despite her strong dislike for Brittany (you shouldn’t hate anyone – it’s a rule), Allie wants to go to check out Glitterati to see what everyone is raving about. How can she go after she told Erica she would attend Missy’s competition? Allie exaggerates why she has to go and soon it spins out of control.Allie quickly learns that sometimes the most expensive and exciting thing isn’t always as great as it may seem.

      A Fabulous Baton Twirling Competition or Glitterati? That is the dilemma that Allie faces in the fifth installment of the Allie Finkle's Rules for Girls series.Allie's good friend Erica Harrington has invited Allie, Sophie, Caroline, and Rosemary to see Erica's big sister Missy twirl in a fantastic baton twirling twirltacular. It should be so exciting with all the glittery costumes, delicious popcorn, and fabulous trophies. However, Allie has also been invited to Brittany Hauser's 10th birthday party on the very same day. While spending time with bratty Brittany isn't a very appealing idea, Allie can't help but be excited by all of the amenities that come along with this party: a limousine, a Glitterati makeover, dinner at The Cheesecake Factory, and a night in a fabulous luxurious Hilton Hotel. What is this "Queen" to do?Allie decides that while she doesn't like Brittany, she just can't pass up the opportunity to ride in an amazing limo, get her picture taken at the glitzy Glitterati, and stay overnight in a posh hotel. Thus, Allie decides to lie to her friends about being forced to go to Brittany's party or else her mother will lose her "Good News" TV show job. While Allie doesn't like lying, she decides that if she isn't hurting anyone it is kinda of okay..."sort of." Anyway, Allie does go to Brittany's party and soon regrets her decision. Brittany and the other girls are just plain mean and catty. Moreover, while it's exciting to be in a limo, get her picture taken, and eat at a fun restaurant, Allie realizes that none of these "things" are truly exciting or fun when you aren't sharing them with your "real friends."Glitter Girls and the Great Fake Out is another wonderful installment in this Meg Cabot series. It's funny, realistic, and just draws the reader into Allie's world. I highly recommend this series for the tween set. Actually, I recommend this series to book lovers of all ages because it has universal appeal. It's just plain adorable! TWO THUMBS UP for Allie and her friends!

      I adore the Allie Finkle’s Rules for Girls series by Meg Cabot. Allie Finkle serves as a fantastic role model for young girls. She’s independent-minded, spirited, a great friend, keeps her own book of rules to follow and does not care all that much about what others think of her or her strange ways (like not eating any red food). In Glitter Girls and the Great Fake Out, Allie gets excited because her parents are going away and her Uncle Jay will watch her and her younger brother Kevin. Allie knows she’ll have fun with Uncle Jay and she plans to attend the regional Twirltactular baton competition with her group of best friends. Instead, her mom informs her that she must attend the birthday party of a mean girl: Brittany Hauser from her old school. Brittany always teases Allie about her rules and can be truly mean to her. Allie finds out that for the party the girls will be taken by limousine to a funky store called Glitterati where the girls will dress in cool outfits and get pictures taken, have lunch at The Cheescake Factory and spend the night at a hotel. Allie makes up a little white lie to Erica and her other friends that she must attend this party and cannot go to the Twirltacular. But once Allie enters the limo, things turn for her and just get worse. Brittany relentlessly picks on her and Allie spends her entire time wishing she were with her true friends. So what is someone who wants to be an actress slash veterinarian to do? Glitter Girls and the Great Fake Out is a wonderful book for third graders and up. It teaches them about friendship, individuality, honesty and being real in only the fun and page-turning way that Meg Cabot can write about young girls.

      Allie Finkle may just be written for kids, but the humor will be appealing to readers of all ages. There's great characterization done by Cabot, including older characters such as Missy and Allie's parents, that is perfect for attracting both young and old audiences looking for a laugh. Cabot is amazing at capturing all these diverse personalities of these crazy little characters. She portrays Allie and her family together so well, and having siblings, she was able to write the best scenes including realistic interactions between Allie and her brothers. The cool thing about these books is that even though they're part of a series, they can totally be read as stand-alones and make sense at the end. Allie's "rules" provide a great base of solid repetition to keep the younger readers solidly interested. I'm hoping we do get to see Courtney again in future Allie Finkle books; she makes a great addition to an already wonderful cast of characters. Overall, a completely cute read--loved it!
