About this audiobook
"Show me your hands, Strange One."
A grim voice.
"Stand-slowly-and show me your hands."
Kevin is trying to remember what he's supposed to do if there's an intruder in the house: stay calm, don't look scared, call 911. At the same time, he's doing his best to figure out how the heck some guy with a bow and arrows got into the room. The archer's explanation-"I lost my balance, fell off the tiger, and landed here"-just adds to Kevin's bewilderment.
The stranger's astonishing arrival is only the beginning of a dazzling adventure. For the man, whom Kevin calls Archer or Archie, has come from a centuries-old Korean kingdom. And it's up to Kevin to find a way to send him back through space and time . . . before history is changed forever.

Reviews for Archer's Quest
35 ratings4 reviews
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Despite a bit of a slow start, this adventure with a boy of Korean decent helping a legendary Korean archer king back to his time has a lot of charm and interest. Math problems and seriously cool archery throughout, some Korean history, some excellent meditation and focus instruction. Feels the tiniest bit dated, but generally fun!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5When an ancient Korean archer appears in Kevin's bedroom one February afternoon, neither of them are sure what happened. The only thing Kevin knows is that he's got to get Archer back in his own time before they change the course of history forever. Obviously the set-up is meant to tell a story that educates as well as entertains. The book is mostly successful in incorporating facts organically and there is enough arrow-wielding action to entertain most kids. The audio recording was fine, though not particularly spectacular.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I listened to this time-travel/ancient Korean lore fantasy as an audiobook. Light, breezy, and enjoyable. Just when Archer starts to get a bit too grand and heroic, he unexpectedly guffaws at a bit of bathroom humor when Kevin teaches him how to make an instant joke by adding the phrase "on the toilet" to one's fortune-cookie fortune. (Heh!)
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The tension starts immediately as 12-yr. old Kevin finds someone in his room when he thought he was home alone. A real page-turner as Kevin learns about honor and courage and his own heritage.
