- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A Warm and tender story. I'm new to Karen Kingsbury and a friend gave this book to read. She thought that it was a wonderful story. Well, I have to agree with her, the book was terrific. Once I started reading the book I had a hard time putting it down. The author's style of writing is warm and heartfelt and I can hardly wait to read another book by this author.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Kingsbury caught my attention with the first sentence of this book and held it until the end. It is a powerful book about young love and parents love for their children. I found myself rooting for Shane and Lauren, hoping they could overcome their parents’ objections and remain together.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a great book on matters of love and faith. I have a strong faith in God, and while reading this, I felt very refreshed reading about how the couple put God into the picture along with their intense love for each other. It was extremely touching.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Book 1 of 2 in the series. Kingsbury provides a Christian and realistic view of two teenagers who fall in love, make a mistake and become pregnant. The story takes place twenty years later when their daughter, who lives with her grandparents, go looking for her real parents. Through different circumstances the parents do not know that she is alive. They have gone on to live different lives that contradict each other and did not keep in contact with each other. Emily (the daughter) finds both parents, but this book does not let you know what happens with the family or with Emily. Ever After is the sequel to the book.
