- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5A kidnapped baby, a psychic connection to a lost doll, and a burgeoning romance with an FBI agent. A good story, well-written--and overtly Christian. Add a star if you don't mind proselytizing in your fiction.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Rachel Sutton is a music teacher who leads a very quiet life. Not really by choice, she has no family. Growing up in foster care has made her appreciate her cozy and permanent home though. Her quiet life is turned upside down one morning when she finds a Raggedy Ann doll under a snow drift. Picking it up will change her entire life.Nick Bradley is a Special Agent with the FBI. In his years of work he has seen many unusual things. But when Rachel Sutton arrives at his office claiming she has a "reaction" when she picks up the doll he's thinking she's just another nut. As he talks with her though he realizes she is very perceptive, intelligent and attractive. So what could her reaction mean? This is the third and final installment in the Heroes of Quantico Series. I really liked all the stories but I have to say this one was my favorite. I think it was because there was lots of interplay between Nick, Mark, Emily, Coop and Monica. Those were thoroughly enjoyable moments for me in the story. I also really liked the characters of Nick and Rachel. I enjoyed watching how open and honest Nick was about his faith and how honest Rachel was in saying she had none. The author did a great job in pointing out how one person can make a huge difference in someones life and not even realize it. This was a very engaging story from the beginning right up to it's outstanding conclusion and loaded with lots of twist and turns. I only regret that we must leave these "very real" characters with the close of this book. I felt very endeared to these Heroes of Quantico. Great job Irene!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a book filled with suspense and tender romance. Once again Irene Hannon has written another in the Heroes of Quantico series that is fast paced and heart stopping good. I couldn't put it down until I had finished it completely.FBI agent Nick Bradley has been around for awhile and heard it all, but when Rachel Sutton walks into his office with her story, and a far-fetched story it is, he can't dismiss her or her story, because in his gut he believes she is telling the truth. Rachel has found a Raggedy Ann doll buried in the snow and when she goes to retrieve it she touches it and gets terrible feelings running through her. She feels danger in the doll, but will the FBI laugh her off, or listen. And why is this happening to her??The chemistry between Nick and Rachel is real and wonderfully written. The child abduction was scary but also well done. And all the twists and turns of this book keep one glued to each page. I think the best line in the book was the one "a coincidence is a small miracle in which God chooses to remain anonymous". There were alot of "coincidences" in this story, which one can see as God's hand working all things out for His good. You won't be disappointed at all the discoveries you will find as you read this suspense filled, action packed story.
