      This was such a charming Holiday themed story. What we have here is a bit of “exchanged student” theme…kinda. Two friends that meet through pinterest of all places, keep contact with each other through email. Our heroine wants a taste of Christmas which she has never had Her younger brother died when she was young on Christmas and ever since her parents have avoided celebrating it. But Gabi Preston wants everything that comes with the celebrating of Christmas. The caroling, finding the perfect Christmas tree, the music, and the happy celebrations, the snow and sledding and much more. Her friend wants to get away from Twilight and its small town charm and the stress of the holidays. She wants to relax in the big city. So they decide to switch places. But upon arriving, Gabi is surrounded by Joe, her friends over protective brother who wants to know where his sister is and why she isn’t in Twilight and exactly where he can find her. OH boy, these two. Things start off to a rocky start for them. They have great chemistry with each other, but they have only two weeks. So nothing can be permanenet. As they end up spending the time celebrating and connecting. I was completely won over by reading this Christmas setting with a small town charm. I love reconnecting with previous characters from the series. All the fun cute clubs of various women in town. There was quite a bit of emotion, and brought me to tears when it came to Gabi and her brother. He is the reason she craves a Christmas experience, she wants to honor him and I really liked that about this story. Having a strong family connections that come into play in the story. Joe is such a swoon worthy hero. He is protective, strong and caring. The romance was steady but didn’t take too long for some action to happen. They only have two weeks together, so when it feels right they embrace what they have together….trying to make every moment count. Emotionally provacative and a lightly sensual romance that builds into a stunning love story!! BEAUTIFULLY SPUN ROMANCE!!!

      I'll Be Home for Christmas by Lori Wilde is a delightfully charming holiday romance. This seventh installment in the popular Twilight, Texas series is another heartwarming love story that old and new fans are going to love.

      A startling realization about her career path is the impetus behind Gabi Preston's decision to swap houses with an on line friend. Gabi wants to experience the picture perfect Christmas and the picturesque town of Twilight, Texas is just the place to celebrate the upcoming holiday. Gabi needs a little distance from her über successful and career oriented parents before breaking the news that she is not finishing her degree. After years of blending into the background and putting others' needs ahead of her own, she is also hoping to discover her true authentic self while she tries to decide what she wants out of life. Gabi is a little ill prepared for the rather rustic living arrangements awaiting her but luckily, sexy Joe Cheek is close by to teach her all she needs to know about life in the country.

      Gabi is a little reserved and quiet but she is also very kind and quite compassionate. She does not like to rock the boat and she always does what is expected of her. She loves her parents but they are not very close and while she does not want to upset them, Gabi knows it is time for her to decide her future based on her desires not theirs. She quickly begins to make friends in Twilight and as she takes over her fellow swapper's volunteer duties, Gabi begins to get a sense of what she wants for herself both professionally and personally.

      Joe has lived an interesting and eclectic life as he travels from place to place working different jobs. Despite his wanderlust, he is close to his family and after his grandfather's accident, Joe drops everything to return to Twilight to run the family Christmas tree farm. He has a bit of a bad boy past but he is caring and loyal to his friends and family. Although he is quite happy working the farm, Joe is not sure that he is ready to settle down and stay in one place. As circumstances change with his family, Joe is forced to take a close look at his lifestyle as he tries to decide if it finally time to put down roots.

      Both Joe and Gabi are instantly attracted to one another, but since her stay in Twilight is temporary, they are hesitant to act on their desire. Once they decide to indulge in a no strings fling, complications arise when Joe's past collides with his present and Gabi becomes aware of his reputation when it comes to the ladies in town. Gabi's impending departure is always in the forefront of both of their minds and although their feelings for one another begin to deepen, she still plans on leaving. Once she deals with the unresolved issues from her past, will Gabi decide to follow her heart?

      I'll Be Home for Christmas by Lori Wilde is a sweet yet sensual romance. The plot is a little predictable at times but there are enough unexpected twists that the storyline remains fresh and engaging. The cast of characters is appealing and easy to like. The romance between Joe and Gabi is an absolute joy to watch unfold and although there are obstacles in their way, they manage to figure out how to make their relationship work. This beautiful holiday story is sure to be a hit with old and new readers of the Twilight, Texas series and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys small town contemporary romances.

      If you've never seen the movie "The Holiday", which by the way was way better than "Love, Actually", then the premise and plot of this book will be interesting and entertaining for you. It was for me, even though I've seen the movie and loved it.

      Sometimes, one is in a need of change in scenery and our heroine really needed that so she decides to swap houses for the holidays with her online friend. Well, what can possibly go wrong, right?! LOL! After I found out what "yurt" is, I seriously now want to have one and live in it!

      There was a lot of things that I loved in this story, especially Joe and Gabi. Their characters were well developed and they clicked together well.

      If you love holiday stories that are not too "sappy" and are not taking over the romance part of it, you'll be into this book.

      This sizzling Texas romance will knock your socks off. . . and anything else you have on. Seriously, there is a good story here, it just gets lost every so often in the gratuitous make-out scenes. Well, it is a romance; it’s just that, to me, it’s not romantic. Once the couple rounds third base and heads hot-and-heavy to home plate, do I really need that description? Uh, NO! Anyway, back at the Christmas tree farm, Gramps is suffering some health issues, and grandson Joe has stepped in to run things, for now. Ahh, but Trouble looms on his horizon, in the form of Gabi, who has traded abodes with her friend, Joe’s sister, for the holiday season. Oh, you know what comes next! But interspersed in the over-done romance is really an interesting story, with well-developed characters, some in-depth issues and good dialogue. My Christmas wish? When the characters go into the bedroom and take off all their clothes, please shut the readers’ door, too. We really don’t need all the gory details!

      Good book with a sweet romance and characters with real world problems. Gabi is running away from her old life by switching homes with an online friend. After years of living up to her parents' expectations, she has realized that she isn't happy, so she quits law school and comes to Twilight to find out who she really is. There she meets Joe, her friend's brother, a good looking guy who she is immediately attracted to.Joe is the family rolling stone. Diagnosed with ADHD as a kid, even now he finds himself unable to settle down for long. When his beloved grandfather has a stroke, Joe comes home to run the Christmas tree farm while his grandfather recovers. The work is physical, which helps him stay focused, and the bonus is being with family for the holidays. He's surprised to find Gabi staying in his sister's place, and can't stop thinking about her.I liked Gabi a lot. She starts out as something of a lost soul and ends up a determined woman who knows exactly what she wants. When Gabi was six years old she lost her beloved older brother to cancer on Christmas Day. She and Derrick had often talked of all the things they would do at Christmas time when he was better. She blamed herself for his death (the reason why was heartbreaking) and set about trying to fill his place in her parents' lives. When she finally realized how unhappy she was, she came to Twilight to experience a real Christmas and decide what she wants to do. I loved seeing her throw herself into all the Christmas activities and how happy they made her. Because she had spent so much of her time growing up concentrating on her studies, she hasn't done much socially. The effect Joe has on her is instant and intense, but she's not sure if she should do anything about it. She's only there for three weeks and doesn't want to distract herself from her goals. But what a distraction! Joe was a real sweetheart of a guy. He's well aware of his personal challenges, and believes that because of them he will never settle down. He tried once and it didn't end well. But as evidence of what a good guy he is, he is still on good (though frustrated) terms with his ex-wife and contributes to the care of her daughter. I loved how he was the one who stepped up to take care of the Christmas tree farm because of how much it means to him. He's also a real charmer and has no trouble using it. He's attracted to Gabi, but sees her as the settling down type, which makes getting involved with her a bad idea. However, there is something about her that he can't stay away from.I loved the development of their relationship. Joe helps her get settled in Katie's place (a yurt!) and unsuccessfully tries to stay away from her. I loved seeing him dive into helping her experience everything that Christmas in Twilight has to offer. What he doesn't expect is the way that Gabi helps to calm the restlessness that he always feels. As she helps him deal with issues involving his ex and her daughter, he starts to wonder what it would be like to settle with Gabi at his side. I also liked the way that he made Gabi see her own worth as a person instead of just the one who keeps everyone else going. I loved seeing Gabi learn so much about herself with Joe's help. She also helps him with his own issues dealing with his ex-wife, and shows him that he's not the screw-up that he thinks he is. She worries that the feelings she has for Joe aren't real. I really liked the way that Joe gives her the space she needs at the end to figure things out. The ending was really sweet and romantic.As always, one of the best things about the Twilight series is the emphasis on love and family. Joe's family is well aware of his issues, but is always there for him. I loved his grandfather's story of his own restless past and the parallels to Joe's life. I loved what Joe did when he learned the story of Gabi's life, and the effect it had on her relationship with her parents.

After meeting Gabrielle, however, his plans may need to be revised.This is a great holiday romance, dealing with some heavy issues involving marital betrayals, sickness and death of loved ones, realizing the true meaning of family, etc., but ending with warmth and a glimpse into a hopeful and happy future.

With the magic of the season drawing them together they discover that the only gift worth giving is love.This is another chapter in a series that will have readers cheering that they can revisit Twilight, Texas. The story of Joe and Gabi will be pulling on readers heart strings and will put readers in the mood of the season. This is also a story that readers will want to read over and over. It is fun to watch how much Joe and Gabi change as they find what matters most to them and to see how they work to find their happily ever after. Readers also get the joy of visiting Twilight again and see how the other characters are doing.
