About this audiobook

When 11th grader April Corrigan learns that her unassuming father has been working undercover for the FBI, she is shocked. But when she is told that she and her family must take on other identities and move to a far away state under the Federal Witness Security Program, she feels everything familiar slipping away. Soon she has a new name, and she lives with a new fear that is more powerful than anything she has felt before. Every stranger could be a threat; every minute could be the one that exposes April and her family to the deadly, dark-eyed man who has begun to follow them. Danger is everywhere. Lois Duncan, the author of 40 best-selling books for young adults, is considered a master of suspense. Once Alyssa Bresnahan's dramatic narration of Don't Look Behind You begins, you'll be held in its compelling grip until the final, thrilling chapter.

This is a really scary book I swear I felt my blood sugar go down but in the end it was nice in the beginning the last couple chapters are the most spookiest best to read during Halloween I get this book a four out of five even though I put five stars because honestly it was really scary for me

This is a book that gets you hook in many ways, I think that the feeling and reactions of each character towards their situations are real and true. The reactions are believable and each character has different reasons for the reader to get hooked by them. Its a story of suspense, however, I loved the way the author gave little parts of romance and love in the story of April and Steve and the whole situation of teenage love. The situation they live causes the reader to guess about every decision they are about to take and finally they perform. The first chapters and last ones, made me feel the desperation and relief they have may felt. I liked the end a lot, the metaphor she uses about the prism is really significant. And the boy she meets at the end, gives you a feeling of happiness after all they suffered.

This is a suspensful thriller about 17-year-old teenager named April Corrigan. April's comfortable life is turned upside down when her family has to enter witness protection and move to Florida from their home in Norwood, VA in order to protect the family. April is unhappy that she has had to leave behind everything she cares about in Norwood, VA. She stubbornly insists on communicating with her boyfriend back home and behaving in ways endagers her safety. This is a great suspensful thriller for teens who enjoy reading fiction with characters they can easily relate to and sympathize with. Teens can learn a lot from April's irresponsible behavior and lack of awareness.

The 17 year old protagonist of this novel has been moved with her family by the witness protection program because her dad is basically a moron. She's not terribly bright herself, as she makes several obvious mistakes that lead the people searching for them right to their location. A juvenile or young adult reader may be more entertained by the story, but I was mostly just calling her an idiot in my head the whole time. I have read other books by this author before and enjoyed them. I was excited to read this book. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. Duncan's work is better when it has a tinge of the supernatural.

It was about a teenage girl whose family had to go into the witness protection program. At first she takes things lightly, thinking nothing would happen to her, but over the course of the book she learns that her experience was a real-life one and not a Cinemax movie where everything ends well. I think the book is good for teenagers to learn to listen to the instructions of their elders, even if they think the instructions are stupid at the time, because they could end up saving their lives.
