About this audiobook
Before ascending to heaven, Jesus instructed his followers to “make disciples of all nations.” But what does this command actually entail? What does it look like for Christians to care for one another's spiritual well-being and growth? In this introduction to the basics of discipling, veteran pastor and author Mark Dever uses biblical definitions and practical examples to show how Christians can help one another become more like Christ every day. The eighth volume in the 9Marks: Building Healthy Churches series, this short book explains how discipling should function in the context of the local church, teaching pastors and church leaders how to cultivate a culture of edification and growth in their congregations.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I will continue to disciple and do the work that my father has asked and called me to do Thank you for the encouragement
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love books like this. It's full of content without being a doorstop. This book provides excellent instruction for those seeking to live with gospel-centered intentionality under the sovereignty of God. Rather than being passive due to God being in control, we are encouraged here to be active in our pursuit of helping others mature in Christ.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Can you define “Discipleship”? How would you define it for the one who is “being discipled”? What about for the one who is “discipling”?
Mark Dever simplifies what it means to “help others follow Jesus” using the Scriptures as the basis for why discipling is what Christians do (not just what “mature” Christians do). Along the way, there are plenty of helpful examples and illustrations.
Whether on your own or with others, anyone who wants to be encouraged and challenged to “help others follow Jesus” should read this brief book.
