Beschreibung

From renowned journalist Alice Feeney comes a riveting new audiobook, Sometimes I Lie.

My name is Amber Reynolds. There are three things you should know about me:

  1. I'm in a coma.
  2. My husband doesn't love me anymore.
  3. Sometimes I lie.

Amber wakes up in a hospital. She can't move. She can't speak. She can't open her eyes. She can hear everyone around her, but they have no idea. Amber doesn't remember what happened, but she has a suspicion her husband had something to do with it.

Alternating between her paralyzed present, the week before her accident, and a series of childhood diaries from twenty years ago, this brilliant psychological thriller audiobook asks: Is something really a lie if you believe it's the truth?

It was slow- paced but kept me interested. Good twists and turns.

Just finished this book and I am glad I didn’t give up after couple chapters even though I was really considering it. It starts slow. You would think how much of mystery can a coma person offer. But the book is really three parallel stories that will get connected at the end. One is from Amber who is in coma but can hear what happens around her. Second, Amber in the past. Events leading to why she is in coma. Third is a diary of a girl who’s identity we find out only closer to the end to put all clues together.

book needs a prologue that explains a bit more about the three timeframes within the story, its a bit slow at first so it was kind of confusing. Overall a good read.

Lots of unexpected turns in this book! I really enjoyed listening, but I wasn't sure Ioved the book until about 3/4 through. So stick with it!

Too sexually graphic but the plot twist was really spectacular! I almost started the book over again because it blew me away that much. Story moves along well. Interesting and descriptive narration of plot and main characters.

The moment you think you know is when the twists and turns begin.

Honestly I thought it started kind of slow but oncce it got going it REALLY got going. I really thought I'd figured it out and then it just threw some more stuff at me.
The ending confused me just a bit, but it was brilliant all the same. Excellent story-telling.
