Holly's got a big problem . . .
And this time, there's no dead body involved.
At least, not yet.
Her boyfriend's parents are coming into town for the Yule Feast and they're staying at the Beechwood Manor—for an entire week!
With a paranormal meet-the-parents on the horizon, the last thing she needs is to stumble into yet another murder investigation, but when she becomes a key witness, there's no way of avoiding it. Especially not if vampires are involved and her human partner-in-sleuthing is racing right into their path.
Holly has to stop a ring of power-hungry vampires, charm a pair of uptight shifters, and keep herself out of supernatural prison. Piece of cake, right?

- (5/5)Witch Slapped (Witchless In Seattle, #1) by Dakota CassidyStevie is a Witch who lost her powers. She has a Bat named Belfry, who is her best friend and companion. Belfry is a sort-of medium, he is able to channel the spirit of an ex-spy named Winterbottom. The three become friends. Then Madam Zoltar, a fake medium ends up dead and Stevie, Belfry and Win (Winterbottom) decide it is time to catch a killer.Stevie is fun, funny and truly likable. Belfry is very lovable, and Win is likable as well. The plot is original, (fun) moves at a fast paced. With quick-Witt , engaging dialog and comical moments Dakota Cassidy transported me to a fanatic place, among new friends. I highly recommend Witch Slapped to those who love a great (fun) cozy murder/mystery.
- (4/5)Witch Slapped by Dakota Cassidy A cozy mystery with a paranormal slant.Fun and a bit outrageous. A former witch pairs wth a ghost to solve a murder. She's a little clumsy and he's a former debonair snobbish spy. The pair plus a small winged familiar, follow a string of clues along with mishaps. Joyously amusing.
- (2/5)Longest 6 hours of my life! I have to admit I don't like Holly.
- (5/5)I love the narrator. She doesn’t stumble and does a wonderful job!
- (5/5)I love Holly’s hidden talents and blatant disregard of danger!
