About this audiobook

When Ted Simon rode 64,000 miles round the world on his 500c Triumph Tiger, he inspired thousands of motorcyclists to begin their own adventures, including Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman, who chronicled their travels in Long Way Round. Nearly thirty years later, Ted Simon took to the road again to retrace the epic journey he made in his 40s. He meets up with old friends and acquaintances, revisits old landmarks and locations, and rediscovers himself, as well as the world, along the way.

Dreaming of Jupiter is a remarkable achievement and a fitting sequel to Jupiter’s Travels, the groundbreaking classic of motorcycle adventure.

I think Ted’s reputation as the motorcycle travel godfather is a little undeserved. He comes across as a little selfish and as if the world owes him something.
Sure its a great achievement to have done this twice, but it seems there’s a real emptiness in his life that he can’t seem to satisfy. Maybe this is what motivates him.
The book is worth reading though.

Too much talk on the negatives, not a enjoyable read, however your handle of writing a book is good, using big words does not impress the reader, had to have my Dictionary at hand.
    But that's my honest opinion.

An honest, entertaining and at times thought-provoking account of a journey. From the perspective of someone who has lived a full life and explored much the world prior to embarking on this trip, his second time around the world!
