About this audiobook

High school sweethearts . . . and nobody knew.

Ashleigh Pence had been the all-American high school girl: cheerleader, prom queen . . . and in love with another girl. Gina Granbury hasn't thought about Calloway High in twenty years, but the arrival of the invitation to the class reunion brings back memories of Ashleigh and the betrayal that drove them apart.

With no real choice, Ashleigh has to go the event, hoping that it's not the one reunion that Gina decides to attend after all these years. Gina had expected to dismiss the possibility as easily as she has during all the years since, but the curiosity is suddenly strong. Her long-broken heart has never mended, but that's no reason to go back in time . . . is it?

Good story, but also annoying. Noncommunication, miscommunication, and insecurities cause so much pain, loneliness and years wasted. It never had to be that way if people would just stop assuming, believing the wrong people, and not questioning.

Was a slow burn to the HEA. G.H. will always be one of my favorites. A.C. Top notch narrator par for course.

I like Gerri Hill and even more so the combination of Gerri Hill and Abby Craden.
This book however did nothing to me. It's wasn't so much a bad book, but I found it boring. The sex seemed the most important thing.

I like Gerri Hill. She tells a nice story and this one is no exception. It's a typical, formulaic romance but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I enjoy the authors voice and will continue to read her books. I did like this one.

**7/2/14 - feel like listening to a Gerri Hill book while working today. She's one of my favorite authors for re-reads when I just need something comforting in the background. Like a favorite movie**

Love Waits is a beautiful, second chance romance about two people destined to be together. Typically, I'm not too fond of books with flashbacks; however, they did not take over the entire narrative in this story, and they kept me invested in Ashleigh and Gina's journey to their HEA. The real reason for their breakup could have been better developed, but, overall, this story was a five-star read easily.

This was a story told in two parts. Present Day and about twenty years ago when both women where in High School/College.Gina and Ashleigh were seceretly girlfriends in their Junior and Senior year (and then not so secretly a little in college). But, in college is where everything fell apart for their relationship and they broke up.The book starts us off twenty years later and their Twentieth high school reunion. They both go, and they're both worried about seeing the other. But, of course, they do see each other. And at times it's intense and uncomfortable for them, and at other times loose and perfect. And then there are a bunch of twists and turns and misunderstandings in their journey to each other. At times the novel seemed to drag a bit, and that sometimes pulled me out of the narrative.I did really like the characters though, they jumped off the page (short story with Aunt Lou?? Heh--).A fun short read.
