About this audiobook

When my mother approached me on my thirty-third birthday with a brochure for egg freezing, it was a glaring reminder that my biological clock is ticking toward its expiration date. I've always dreamed of being a mom and had a plan-one that was destroyed when I caught my professional hockey player husband in bed with another woman.

Despite my broken heart I still believe in love. I want the happily ever after, but I also want a child desperately and won't settle in order to make it happen. That's why when I decided to take my mother's advice, Christian came up with his own plan: Let's have a baby together.

It's a bad idea. A really, really bad idea. And yet . . . I can't stop thinking about how great it could be. There's just one condition. Before we have sex (oh, yes, we're doing this the old-fashioned way!) Christian is adamant we go on three dates. Sounds easy, but it's not. I thought sex would be the hard part, but the dates are only making me fall for the man I've known almost my entire life.

Whoever said sex doesn't change things never went to bed with their best friend.

Contains mature themes.

    ? Friends to lovers
    ? Workplace
    ? Planned pregnancy
    ? Friends with benefits

Meadow wants a baby, and since she's newly divorced, she can't see it happening any time soon. So why not do it on her own? Except her best friend, Christian has other plans.

Meadow and Christian are both strong characters and have a good foundation to start their relationship on, but I didn't see the easy move from friends to lovers. Initially, there didn't seem to be a strong attraction for Christian to move the relationship to more than friends, but once it did, Christian went from 0 to 100.

Their story was very easy to read and a good summer read in between heavy books. Meadow and Christian both have strong family support systems, and Meadow actually had to deal with health issues when it comes to her mum, but there's laughs and humour all the way through.

GAWD, I CRIRED ALL THE WAY THROUGH THIS BOOK!! What I wouldn't give to have a best friend like Christian Gallagher. I respected that when the when they were in school, they were the best of friends until Christian moved to California to become a heart surgeon and Meadow studied to become a nurse practitioner then was swept off her feet by a hockey player, they eloped much to her families disappointment. She learned that he had been seeing a woman from Canada and caught them in his hotel bed! Christian found out and returned to helped her heal and decided to apply for positions in New York to be by her side. THIS BOOK CERTAINLY HAD ME CRYING AND I WANT TO READ MORE FROM THIS AUTHOR!!
