      I will say this is altogether a well-coordinated book. This time Christine Feehan's works here is more with the same intriguing style, but with a little more modern touch. Great lines and plots and filled with excellent mind control or illusion also, well thought out a battle plan. I will say it gets more fascinating how the writer can take their readers’ minds where impossible for the reader to expect before it takes place. Again, it is a storyline that is worth reading yet and it indeed has earned five stars. Love every time and moment spent reading the Dark Illusion.
      As their unfulfilled bond continues to call to them both, Julija and Isai aim to complete the task that brought them together. They are used to facing danger alone, but now the mage and the ancient warrior must learn how to rely on each other in order to stop a plot that threatens all Carpathians.
      Julija is first a Carpathian, then a mage, and also from the Dragonseeker blood lineages. Her purpose was to end the use of an evil book that was created by the enemy of the Carpathians people. Who for years has hunted and seek the destruction of the jaguar race, human race, mage, Lycan, and the Carpathian race alikes. So, with the following bloodline, the Carpathians bloodline and that of her mage bloodline together with her the blood of the innocent unborn child she and her lifemate was able to bring to an end the evil and set free the souls of those who have been killed to seal the book. The brethren from the monastery was able to help in the battle for their lives and help defend them from the powerful mages.

      I am always happy to see what's new in the Carpathian world! Julija and Isai are absolutely awesome together. Again Christine has weaved a book full of love, power, adventure and friendship. As always Jim did an excellent job narrating this book. This young lady stood her ground against so much adversity and from her own family. They were all a bunch of well I won't write that. She has a man who has her back and that is what is important! I so like how Isai trained the shadow cats to blend into his back reminds you of Ivory and her wolves. If anyone want to check back that book is Dark Slayer. Excellent read as well!
