About this audiobook
David and Isaac have found happiness in each other's arms. In faraway San Francisco, Isaac's brother Aaron helps them explore confusing "English" life and move beyond the looming shadow of their Amish roots. For the first time, David and Isaac can be openly gay, yet they struggle to reconcile their sexuality with their faith. At least they don't have to hide their relationship, which should make everything easier. Right?
But while Isaac thrives at school and makes new friends, David wrestles to come to terms with the reality of the outside world. Haunted by guilt at leaving his mother and sisters behind in Zebulon, he's overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of the city as he works to get his carpentry business off the ground.
While David and Isaac finally sleep side by side each night, fear and insecurity could drive them miles apart.
Contains mature themes.

After writing for years yet never really finding the right inspiration, Keira discovered her voice in gay romance, which has become a passion. She writes contemporary, historical, paranormal and fantasy fiction, and—although she loves delicious angst along the way—Keira firmly believes in happy endings. For as Oscar Wilde once said, “The good ended happily, and the bad unhappily. That is what fiction means.” You can find out more about Keira and her books at: www.keiraandrews.com

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Book 2 of trilogy, picks up right after A Forbidden Rumspringa. David and Isaac make it to San Francisco where Isaac's brother lives. Aaron and his wife Jen are welcoming and supportive as David and Isaac navigate the "English" (non-Amish) world and the plethora of choices they now have available to them (boxers, briefs, or boxer briefs?) David struggles with the guilt of abandoning his mother and sisters, as well as the pressure to not be dependent on Aaron and Jen, but he doesn't want to burden Isaac with his fears.
Ends on cliffhanger so grab Book 3, A Way Home. I love this series! John Solo is a great narrator. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I wanted to write a proper review, but as this is the middle of a three book story, I'll only note that watching David spiral was painful and it was the only reason it took me so long to finish this book, and that I'm looking forward to the last installment.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Amazing! Outstanding! I love it!
Book 2 in Keira's Gay Amish Romance series! If I could give it 10 stars I would. My only complaint is that it has a cliff hanger ending. I didn't know this, and really it didn't matter to me. I had to read it as soon as it came out. Some of you may want to wait for the third book in the series.
But seriously, SPRING! I have to wait to find out what is going to happen between Isaac and David till spring.
*sighs*
I can be patient.
