About this audiobook
Everyone says Luma has the world at her fingertips. Her trust fund can buy anything she wants, there's a modeling agency courting her, and most people would kill for her life-especially her stepmother, Tabitha.
When Tabitha comes home mangled from a botched cosmetic procedure and finds out Luma's been offered a prestigious gig, jealousy rears its aging, puffy head. Tabitha wants Luma dead and she's got no choice but to flee. Alone and cut off from her resources, Luma's last refuge is a remote cottage where she prays Tabitha won't find her.
Charlie is the newest addition to her family's lumberjack business in the forest, whittling away her emotions as she works through a broken heart. Beauty really is skin deep because no woman can look past the birthmark on her forehead. Charlie is ready to forget about love . . . until she finds Luma asleep in her bed. She's in danger, vulnerable, and also the most beautiful woman Charlie has ever seen.
When the lumberjacks take Luma under their protection, she finds more than just safety. She finds Charlie and a new purpose in the forest-until Tabitha comes back to finish her kill.
Contains mature themes.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5While I enjoyed the second book of this series, I was like others very disappointing. The first novel was imaginative and gripping, it felt like this one was subpar in comparison. I suppose the very obvious "plot twist" was meant to board some lessons for high school readers...but I felt this could have been achieved in other ways. I did enjoy the narration of this book and feel it was its saving grace.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Fun and original sapphic Snow-Whitish tale
This is a cute take on a Snow White tale. Aspects are close to the original, but other aspects are different. I didn't know where it would go, but I really enjoyed finding out! I listened to the audiobook so I can't speak to the writing, but I didn't really hear any errors. The narrator is really good and brought lots of excitement to the story. I liked her voice and was able to tell the characters apart. I'll have to read this author's other fairy tale adaptations! - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Overall a good and fun read. Mina is stuck in the past enough to still be hyper-focused on Brody. This makes it a tad repetitive at times. Romance between Brody and Nan seems a bit forced and awkward.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5In the continuation of Chanda Hahn's Unfortunate Fairy Tale series, this book tackles the story of Snow White (among other things). It's interesting how Chanda has integrated fairy tales into a completely unique story. And Mina has a lot of lessons to learn (which means she doesn't always get to be the hero of the tale). I know a lot of reviewers complained she was moody, but I felt like she very much acted her age, and yes, there was some moody behavior, but it fit her and the story. Overall, I'm loving the series and it very much holds up to what I remembered about how fun it was. I highly recommend it to fairy tale lovers. Also, the narrator does a fabulous job voicing all the characters.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I really liked this book. It wasn't what I expected after reading the first one. the author kept it surprising. I really liked the way the friendship between Mina and Nan developed and how they had to overcome some issues that are typical with teenagers. Great book! Can't wait for the next one!
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Not as good as the first book. The writing level is the same so expect the same grammatical issues and typos as well as very simplistic writing. The characters are the same shallow caricatures as the first book as well. But the thing that really stood out for me in the first book was the cool retelling of fairy tales, which this book lacked. The retelling was very simplistic and predictable in this book. The whole thing just wasn't as imaginative as in book one.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Simply Just Amazing
As this series goes on, I just keep falling more and more in love with it.
Fairest was amazing, and just so fun.
I love the twists and turns, the half-truths and how nothing is what it seems. I really like how even though Mina is supposed to be the Hero, isn't always the hero in her stories.
Evil Queen anyone?
This is a hard test for her, and she ends up paying a very deep price for it. I was angry at her for being selfish, but what teenager isn't?
My anger dropped when the dragon appeared, so happy about the dragon! XD
The twist at the end, nice, wow, and I was like HOLY SHIT did not see that coming.
So excited for this series to keep going and going!.

Emily - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I was actually sort of disappointed in this book. I liked the first one (Unenchanted) a lot more. The development of the fairy tale seemed to take forever. Also, the amount of typos and grammatical errors was frightening. I'm not sure why so many of these books (especially on Kindle) are not being proofed. If you can read beyond the incorrect commas, semi-colons, and just plain wrong words (than instead of then, etc) , then you're in for a decent read, but not a great one.
