- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved the first season of "Star Trek: Picard," but may have loved this book even more (which is remarkable given how many writers worked on a series that was shorter in length than this book). Una McCormack juggles multiple storylines and countless characters deftly and thoughtfully. Each storyline serves both the novel and the TV series and makes the series itself more meaningful. If you've watched the show, you know one scene in particular is coming, but McCormack still manages to present it in an emotionally shocking way. It's genuinely a gutpunch. Also: A word about Robert Petkoff, the narrator. His characterizations are amazing, especially his vocalizations for Picard and LaForge. This novel, especially the audiobook, is worth your time!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Brilliantly produced. The voice actor captured Picard’s voice so accurately I often forgot I wasn’t actually listening to Patrick Stewart. Really enjoyed the whole book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A morality tale in which everyone is right & wrong
