About this audiobook
Carson discovers her brothers divided over plans to change their working ranch into a guest ranch, and their consultant, Kerry Elder, doesn't seem above using her wiles to get her way. Kerry finds that while she may have her clients right where she wants them, it's the wayward sister that may be awakening something she has long denied.
The big Montana sky crackles with thunder and lightning as emotions twist in unbidden directions. Neither Carson nor Kerry is prepared for the wild storms of summer.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Romance, family drama, sex and best of all, honest communication. All those romance novels where there is miscommunication, and assumptions drives me nuts.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a great story that happens to include a great romance. I prefer romance stories that have a story other than the lovers. This did not disappoint.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is what I need Gerri Hill novels to be. Sweet coming-home/second chance romances with family drama and good chemistry. No miscommunications, creepy secondary characters, questionable plot devices, just a couple of fairly well-adjusted adults discovering love with each other.
All of you old Hill fans who are like me and have become wary of starting a new book by the author should feel confident in picking this one up.
And the audio version is done well. Abby Craden has become a wlw favorite and, while I don't always enjoy the deeper, huskier voice she uses for one of the women in a couple, it was fine. The quality of the recording is good, which isn't always the case in lesfic.
Ok, that was sort of a ramble but there you go... - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Another great Gerri Hill novel. This one is both a romance as well as quite the family drama. It's mainly the story of Carson and Kerry. Carson is rich with no job, and she gets called back home by her twin brother because their father is dying. She's been away for twelve years and she and her father didn't part on the best of terms.Kerry is a consultant for Carson's four brothers, Chase (the twin of Carson), Colt, Chance, and Cody. She's there to help them turn the working ranch into a dude ranch. She's striking out on her own after working for a different consulting firm for quite a while.Needless to say they meet and hit it off quite a lot. But that's just the top layer of the story. There are also a ton of different dynamics between Carson and her brothers running just below the surface, not to mention different dynamics between Kerry and the brothers. I also totally loved what Hill did with the character of Carson. It was amazing with just words I could see Carson relaxing as the story went on.The only thing that I didn't love as much was the end. It seemed abrupt in a lot of ways, and I wish that we'd gotten more info on certain things at the end.Overall though it was an awesome book.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I've heard nothing but great things about this book, but...it just didn't do anything for me. I didn't really like the character of Carson; I'm sorry, but sleeping with your brother's girlfriend is just plain tacky. And I can't even remember the other lead's name (Karen, maybe?), which shows how much she interested me as a character. Meh.
