About this audiobook
Comedian Stephanie Renshaw hopes to finally get her big break in LA. A chance encounter lands her the perfect apartment close to the comedy clubs, but it comes with a catch: she needs a roommate to afford the rent.
Enter Rae Coleman, a former police officer working the door at one of the top comedy clubs. After getting injured in the line of duty and losing her job with the LAPD, Rae guards her wounded soul behind a tough exterior.
At first, the two clash horribly before a tentative friendship develops. Bit by bit, Steph manages to break through the walls Rae has built around her.
But Steph has never been in a relationship, preferring casual flings, and Rae isn't sure she's ready to be happy again. Will they find the courage to open themselves up to love?
Contains mature themes.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Worst narrator ever!! Hate lori prince’s narrator and creepy voice!!
Good story though! But could not listen to her voice!1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The story plays out in the same way you would get to know a new friend. Starts out seemingly kinda shallow and hum-drum, and I even got a little annoyed at the characters in the beginning. But by the end of the book they really feel like they could be your best friends, or even a part of yourself (at least that was the case for me. Honestly I found this book almost therapeutic. Steph and Rae’s inner conflicts seemed to be holding up a mirror to me). Which I never suspected when I first “met” the characters.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I absolutely loved this one! I had such a good time reading it.
Lori Prince the narrator of the audio book, is fantastic, and I adore her and the way she is so animated when narrating!
Also I did not know going into this book that it was a loose companion of Just For Show! I LOVE seeing characters from other books pop up! I'm also glad I read Just For Show first because I would've been confused with a few parts of Claire's relationship if I'd read it after.
The grumpy/sunshine duo is such a love of mine. I love how both Steph and Rae's voices shone.
Their chemistry was amazing from the start and I was doing the :> face a lot while reading this one.
This was just all kinds of wonderful! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great! Love all their books! Engaging characters who I want to root for
