About this audiobook

I never wanted to save the world... or these damned werewolves.

Life was pretty sweet until my hellhound bit one of them. Then I accidentally killed him—the werewolf, not my hellhound. Now I need to help the local alpha track down and destroy a rogue angel or I’ll lose everything that's important to me, like my Corvette, and my awesome house with a pool.

I might wind up dead. I might wind up back in Hel. Or I might just pull something impish and manage to wiggle my way out of the whole mess.

WARNING: This series has laugh-out loud antics, an OCD werewolf, and a sexy angel. Get ready to binge read this bestselling antihero urban fantasy series!

Author

Debra Dunbar

After majoring in English Literature with a concentration in Medieval and Folklore studies, Debra promptly sold out to the corporate world, occasionally dabbling in writing marketing copy and op/ed articles for a local city paper. By day, she designs compensation programs, after dark she stuffs her nose into obscure mythology, and feverishly writes her novels. A DEMON BOUND is her debut novel. Debra lives on a farm in Maryland with Sweetie, three sons, and a Noah’s ark of four legged family members. Unlike her protagonist, she drives an old PT Cruiser, couldn’t carry a tune if you duct taped it to her back, and enjoys an occasional cosmopolitan (heavy on the vodka). On a good day, she jogs and horseback rides, hopefully managing to keep the horse between herself and the ground. Her only known super power is ‘Identify Roadkill’.

It took me a while to get used to the Narrator, She seemed to really try to play up the raspiness of her voice for the first few chapters. And her male Character impressions were not soo good. I actually put this tittle down due to her style...And the slow start to the of this novel.

However, I gave it a few days and picked it back up. After completing the story, I say it's worth the read/listen. I love the way the author explores the lore of angel and demons; Managing to expand on her own unique understanding of their abilities, grievances, and culture. You really get a better sense of this in book 2.

Book 1 was rough for me to get into...but by the end I found myself laughing and in the full swing of things. It is a good book. Really well-built world, and Characters. Only wished the plot wasn't soo slow and then sporadic. Some parts weren't as believable, and others bought me great joy.

    Overall I would recommend.

It was OK, didn't hold my attention like some other reads have....but that could be me. On to the next one, I still want to listen to the whole series

Dark humor. Very funny. I enjoyed the demons monologues. So casual about all things taboo in human society. The angel was kinda dark and funny too.

Loved this book It was hard to put myself in the place of the main character initially but she grew on me throughout the book and I found her attitude and beliefs freeing in the end as in the things that matter she is no different to the rest of us.

The narrator was a bit stilted at first, and was a bit annoying, but she got better and the story was excellent.
