Jen Turano takes you back to another place, another time, while she spins another tale filled with fancy and humor. My grandparents were in New York City in the 1880s, which allowed me to picture places they might have visited at that time. Descriptions of the expandable hoop, a cantankerous dog, and an exciting buggy ride helped keep my interest in life in both the working class and aristocracy. Thanks for providing this diversion in this trying time of COVID-19.

Not bad. Sweet story. Nothing to get super excited about. Finished because I wanted to know how the story ended. Too predictable and somewhat unrealistic.

A fun diversion of a book, and the audio narrator did a superb job. It had at several plot elements that were nearly identical to the movie "Pretty Woman" and a few nods to "Ny Fair Lady" but was so well written, I was willing to overlook them. I also wished that this had a deeper spiritual connection. It was fairly light for a Christian fiction book, and had more of a morality tale surface Christianity to it. Overall, I would still read more by this author for some light reading.

Fun listen. A fairytale in its own way so seems a bit young
