Karla Sorensen

Karla Sorensen has been an avid reader her entire life, preferring stories with a happily-ever-after over just about any other kind. It doesn't take much to keep her happy...a book, a really big glass of wine, and at least thirty minutes of complete silence every day. She still keeps her toes in the world of health-care marketing, where she made her living pre-babies. Now she stays home, writing and mommy-ing full time. She currently resides with her husband and their two sons in Michigan.

If you’ve read Sorenson’s first Washington Wolves series, you’ll be primed to read Molly and Noah’s story in Focused! I was incredibly curious and thrilled Sorensen added to the Washington Wolves world.

Focused begins The Ward Sisters series and is a great read. This enemies to friends football romance was a delightful read. Narration was good…I highly recommend you read the at least the last book in the original Washington Wolves series, The Marriage Effect, before starting The Ward Sisters series — Molly and Noah’s backstory really impacted my enjoyment of Focused!

This review is for the audiobook only. No idea how good the book was as I could not get past the narrator, Em Eldridge. Out of place pausing, odd word cadence, and weird pitch changes. Ditched the book 20 minutes in.

This story was lacking chemistry between the leads. I didn’t feel like they really liked each other. Overall I was just bored throughout

Sweet and light. I enjoyed the banter and the family dynamic. This was a new author for me. The series seems like it would be worth reading. Audiobook was great!

I had no idea with was Logan's family and when I realised I couldn't have been more excited.

A slow burn romance is everything I love, especially with the added work element and it is a sports romance so all that build up and steam just brings that perfect amount of tension.

Molly and Noah have history and not the good kind. They both featured in Marriage Effect with Paige and Logan being the main love interests but Molly played a large part in their story. As a hormonal teenager, she was finding her way through relationships and she had her eye on the older boy next door.

Noah can remember that night like it was yesterday but he never thought he'd see Molly again until the day he gets transferred to Washington and a camera crew is thrown in his face. Who better to monitor the progress of the filming than Molly, the last person he expected to see.

As they both spend more time together their relationship simmers from a dislike to a point where they just want to rip each other's clothes off and they definitely do.

Karla Sorensen has written another funny, steamy, sports romance and I am absolutely addicted to this world she has written.

Cute story but a wee bit over the top. It would have been better for me if the characters were developed a bit more.
