About this audiobook

He's not going to take this treatment lying down. At least, not for long…

Fifteenth-century Scotland is a tough place to be a woman in charge. Brianna MacLeod, new laird of her clan, needs a child to establish her position. And the best way to do that is to demand the sexual services of her sworn—and very sexy—enemy!

Ewan Fraser never foresaw being kidnapped, tied up and expected to perform stud service. Yet being bound for the delicious Brianna's pleasure isn't all bad. In fact, the more time he spends in her bed, the more he's determined she'll be the one who ends up enslaved….

Loved it. This is a first book I'm listening to by Hope Tarr and it definitely won't be my last. It was really nice and steamy. Just as I like them.
Loved the Scottish accent of the narrator but I wish she would use a deeper voice for the men, especially for the hero.

WOW! Absoutely LOVED! This was such a sexy and sensuous audiobook. Completely enthralled me that I listened to it while packing up my house, had my phone strapped to my arm so I could keep listening. The narrators voice was VERY sensual and her accent really set the scenes. Shew...very HOT!

Nice, sweet story. Ten years of love. Two very young souls meant to be together. One terrible traitor and numerous deaths. Love, marriage and a baby. Quite satisfying

Overall a good book. I liked the characters and plot outside the main heroines ability to just ignore the red flags she herself brings up...

The audiobook has not been reviewed. There are huge sections where the record is blank. It seems to be at almost every chapter. There is no way to follow the actual story.

Sometimes books are so bad that you just have to review. The plot development is trash. Did happens that makes no sense and isn't even reasonable. Love is it of nowhere. So stupid i can't even finish it and it's audiobook.

I can’t even finish this book. It’s poorly written and the story line is just crap. Plus rape? You couldn’t think of anything else? You had to attempt to romanticize rape?? Nah. I’m good. This is the second book of yours I listened to that had rape in it. Unfortunately, I will now have to stay clear of this author in general.

If you’re looking to kill some time, this book would be a good one to read. Unfortunately, I felt that the characters weren’t built up enough. There was too much passion in bed and not enough time spent on personality, adventure, and heart stopping scenes filled with laughter or heartbreak. There were many innuendos made between the main characters...she should’ve built on that more too. Not just in bed but out and about. As for the new lovers at the end of the book, I would’ve loved to read a book on them and not end it with this book.

    3.5 Stars for me.
Fun story with high heat and the HEA. There are some bad people and the initial sex scene is essentially rape although both MCs actually wanted it to happen. The reason it can be called rape is that he was verbally saying no and I thought that it could have been handled a bit better.

In historical context, the Lord of the Castle essentially could have who he wanted which I, for one, am happy that we can choose who we want and say no to those who we do not want!
