About this audiobook

When they met online they were equals...Then she walks into his classroom.

For four months Eva March shared almost every secret with a handsome stranger. It was easy when she didn't have to meet his gaze in real life. The online flirtation was fun. She could be a strong, put-together woman without a sordid past. Most importantly, he'd never know the truth.

Grady Addison takes his job as a professor seriously. He doesn't sleep with co-eds, much less his students. Eva doesn't even fit his leggy, peppy blonde requirements, but he can't walk away now. He's spent too much time fantasizing about her, her smile and the way her eyes darken when she thinks of her past.

And her past is a problem. The secrets she hasn't yet told him could end his career and for Eva, her life could just come crashing down...again.

Author

Melissa Blue

Melissa Blue’s writing career started on a typewriter one month after her son was born. This would have been an idyllic situation for a writer if it had been 1985, not 2004. She penned that first contemporary romance, upgraded to a computer and hasn’t looked back since. Outside of writing, Blue works as a mail clerk for the federal government, has a paralegal certificate (that she has more use for as a dust pan) and is a mother of two rambunctious children. She lives in California where the wine is good and, despite popular belief, is not always sunny.

I can't stand it when a female author writes about weak women. This woman who's supposed to be a "professional" and whose career was almost ruined due to her involvement with a client did not learn her lesson? Who reads this stuff and enjoys it?

Too similar to last book, both guys with mental issues. But it was a good read.

But I am really upset about how the author made bipolar into this huge embarrassing issue that was devastating, and was to be kept as a secret I know that a lot of people with “psychological issues“ are brilliant and genius, and sometimes introverts. They understand how mathematics and science and things the normal person couldn’t even comprehend so they haven’t mastered their social skills who cares they are the exception, and should be praised for the differences, but also helped along with people who care and can explain social interaction and emotions. That’s all not a big deal.

Decent character development. The author could have enhanced the ending with more drama. Ending wasn’t fulfilling, too blunt.

I absolutely adored this couple. Wade is the most interesting, most perfectly flawed main character I’ve ever read in a romance, the ultimate book boyfriend. I also thought the friendships were a great touch, both Sophie’s bestie, Cal, and the goon squad. It’s my favorite romance of the year so far!

My God the narrator was horrid! He whined like. Baby and when he wasn’t doing that he tried to hard to press the point that the main character was mean! I got it. The voice was to much! His voice is awful. I enjoyed this series and wanted to finish it, but it took 3 day c/o his voice giving me a headache. The story was ok, but I would never recommend this book, unless it is re- narrated by someone else! I feel so agitated right now! Ugggh!

As much as I am happy that Wade got his HEA, I thought his story was kind of boring. I really enjoyed the first two books but this one had a boring plot and dialogue.

The best of this book was any and all dialogue between the Goon Squad. The Goon Squad consists of 5 male members and their ladies. They are friends, brothers and family who make real sacrifices for each other because they care sincerely and deeply. With each book I read, I am fascinated by the loyalty they have for each other. They were there for Wade's graduations even when his parents weren't there (by choice). They were all there in tuxedoes when Oliver was presented with his award. They are there to support Wade when he is overcome with sickness even if it's just to make sure he has shaved. The romance between Wade and Sophie was boring but this Goon Squad relationship was the highlight for me.

I gave up 6 chapters in when there still wasn’t really a plot.

You know. This book touched parts of me that are so raw. I was crying towards the last chapters and listened on 2,5x speed to get to the happy ending ASAP.
Also all the doctor who references. The ones acknowledged by the characters and those not.
Congrats on making me a snotty slobbering mess during lunch break.

I really liked this book and its easy flow of words. I think the dynamic of their relationships and their individual issues were well done. Would definitely recommend

The synopsis listed here is for a different book by Melissa Blue. This one is the 3rd in the series about Wade and Sophie.
This was an okay love story. The beginning and end were a little boring for me but the middle part was just interesting enough to keep me going. Didn't come out caring about what happens to either character to be honest.
Low key feeling some type of way about how they made fun of Doctor Who. Don't come for my Doctor like that lol.
