      These two characters jump right into ripping each other's clothes off. North hates Jed and Jed pretends to dislike North. The sexual tension was there but didn't have enough depth behind it to be of any intrigue. Maybe it was because we never get to know their personalities. It's all very surface-level. Jed's character isn't my favourite he didn't sit well with me and sometimes came across as that slimeball guest.

      North was a very fast-paced storyline and the plot behind the romance seems rushed to try to fit as much in as possible. Thankfully it'll carry on through the other books in the series. It's definitely a love-at-first-sight romance with a wealthy heroine and an FBI agent.
