About this ebook

In this young adult autobiography, Tony Hawk shares the stories from his life that have helped him become a skateboarding hero.

Hawk speaks of being a super-competitive 'demon' child who found peace while on a skateboard. Classmates teased him because of his interest in an 'uncool' sport. Instead of retaliating with violence, he practiced even more. With his story, he will inspire a younger generation of fans to stand up for what they believe in and follow their dreams.

This book, as you might expect, is written at about an 8th grade reading level. That's not a bad thing, just the truth. That being said, it is interesting to hear Tony Hawk's history from the source. some good stories in here.

Several photographs and caption throughout the entire book enhance the true-life stories Hawk is telling. The Appendix at the end contains lists of Tony’s favorite music, tricks, movies, food, skaters, contests, and skateboarding links on-line.
