      This story is about Christy Madaris and Alexander Maxwell. Alexander is the friend of Christy's older brothers. She has been in love with Alex since she was a little girl and at Christy's 13th birthday party, Alex gives her his pinky ring and tells her that when she is older, he will marry her.Christy believes Alex and it wasn't until Christy was in her early 20's that Alex told her that he wasn't serious and that he was trying to comfort her at the time.The truth was, Alex had actually fallen in love with Christy through the years but was afraid about what her three overprotetive brothers would do and say.Of course, it's a happy ending - they end up together but not without a kidnapping, a lot of fighting, and an impromptu marriage.
