Another great addition to this series. Turned out much differently than I expected it to turn out. Very enjoyable and well written.

4.25 stars. I picked up this series after reading about how good it was for only $0.99 on the Amazon discussion boards (where I typically get all my advice for new series). I started reading them the week before Flutter was released and I was not disappointed!

I have really enjoyed following the whole gang through their adventures and transformations. Another girl in my office and I were anxiously awaiting Wisdom's release and both started it about the same time. I was slightly ahead of her and we were comparing % read on our kindle's all day yesterday. I will have to say there were a few things we did figure out, like who Lief was. Although there were a couple of other scenes I did not see coming that made me stop and get mad at my book. We were also taking bets as to who Alice would pick in the end...I won!!!

Overall, I was pleased with the way the series ended...but I can see where there could be additional books of Alice's adventures to come!

I had to do this as a book on cd and I hated the reader. I really liked this book alot more action than the first 3 in the series and many of the questions were answered. This series was much like twilight.

My Blood Approves series is finished; I've read all four in the series. I'm still contemplating why I had to finish them all. Alice was so in love with Jack, but I was so in love with Peter. I never really understood why she loved Jack the way she did. This book had a few twists and I was grateful for them. Hocking left the series open for future books, so maybe one day readers will see what has become of Alice and her family.

I didn't love this book, but it was my favorite so far. I liked the changes to Alice's personality. She's still a whiney Mary-Sue, but I liked her better. I'm glad there's one more book. I felt there were too many loose ends. I also was NOT a fan of what happened with Daisy. I thought that it was incredibly wrong and should have been dealt with in a manner that didn't make it so abrupt.January for the final book. I'm looking forward to it.

I loved this book, I've loved this series. I was very sad to see on Amanda Hocking's website that book #5, Swear, has been a struggle for her. Therefore, it doesn't have a publish date, and even worse, might not ever be published. She does promise to give us closure by releasing the outline if she isn't able to finish writing Swear. :o(

This series has been added to my top 10 favorites without a doubt. This 4th book proved to be the most exciting, gripping, action-packed, unpredictable, intense and emotional of all the books in the series so far. The pace of this book was great and there didn't seem to be any boring moments or down time. In addition to Alice, I just loved all of the other main characters. They are all amusing and likable in their own way. This book had me focused, laughing, shouting, and almost crying at times. Way to mess with my emotions, Amanda Hocking (but I totally loved it, so thanks!). The beginning of the book takes us to Australia, where Alice, her brother Milo and his boyfriend go to visit Mae, Peter and Daisy. They aren't there long before something happens back in the states that devastates Alice. After she arrives back at home, she's basically just going through the motions and trying to deal with things with the help of Jack and the rest of her family. Throughout the book she struggles with herself feeling very lost. She realizes she has forever to make something of her life, but that proves to be very intimidating and she feels slightly worthless. She's basically just trying to come to terms with herself along the way and she's feeling the weight/reality of what her life has become. The characters of Bobby, Leif and Peter have bigger parts in this book, and I was so glad for that. Bobby's character, who is Milo's boyfriend and Alice's sidekick/friend, had me laughing like a lunatic with some of the things he said. I could totally see myself hanging out with someone like him. I just have to throw out one of my favorite quotes by him: "Oh my God! That dude is supposed to be a vampire hunter, and he's wearing a fricking Swatch! There is no way these guys are for real!". -That line had me re-reading and laughing my rear off. I don't want to give anything away, so I will just stick to saying that I loved Leif's role in this book, as well as everything that we discover about his character. I hope we see much more of him in the final book. As for Peter, he is much more open and present in this book. I like the way that he interacts with Alice. Getting back to Alice now, I would like to say that I was excited to learn the whole "deal" with her. Since the beginning it has been known that she has a certain "draw" to her (so does Milo for that matter) and it was interesting to get down to the bottom of that. It was well put together and made sense. I feel that the author does a great job at explaining things and keeping her ideas clear. This book has a decent amount of fighting, death and blood in it. I found it fitting and quite liked it. Alice was extremely badass throughout the entire book, especially towards the end, and I loved that about her. I don't like it when the main female character is a helpless pansy. The last parts of the book are very intense and emotional. I was completely freaking out! But all in all, I was completely satisfied with everything that transpired at the end. I'm sad that Amanda Hocking has put her writing for the final book in this series on hold, but it pleases me to know that there will be more to Alice's story to discover.

This is the fourth book in the My Blood Approves series. Preceded by My Blood Approves Fate and Flutter. The last book ended with Jack and Alice heading forward in their relationship pretty strong Peter and Mae with Maes vampire child leaving Milo with his human boyfriend Bobby still being themselves and Ezra moping. Alice Milo and Bobby go to visit Mae in Australia but things dont go easily and it isnt as great a visit as expected. They get terrible news from home and leave early. When they arrive Alice is dealing with all the sudden realization of the decisions she made; like becoming a vampire being a vampire being with Jack and not being with Peter. She wants to live forever and is pretty certain that she wants to do it with Jack but she doesnt want to be a vampire. This book delves into the side of Alice where she is finally growing up. Her whole life shes been lazy and babyish. Now she has to learn to fend for herself and take responsibility for her actions. I hated Peter in the first book because he was a jerk but now I really feel sad for him. I hope there is another one where he can find someone to be happy with because leaving him alone sucks and I want Alice to stay with Jack.

I am giving this book 5 stars because it is a great book packed with action love loss mystery and suspense. I do want to point out that readers will face plenty of grammatical issues where words might be missing or there is two thes and thats. But its still an amazing book to read. It flows best though if you have the history from the first three books.

When this book begins, Alice, Milo, and Bobby are in Australia visiting Peter, Mae, and Daisy (the child vampire) when Alice receives the news that Jane has been killed. She immediately returns home, where, coincidentally, Ezra has been moping around without Mae. As Alice seeks answers about Jane's death, she realizes it is the work of a serial killer and decides to track him (or her) down and kill him (or her). This creates a lot of interest and suspense in the book, and is one of the 2 major story lines. Alice is trying to deal with the idea of immortality. If you live forever, what's your purpose? What can you do with all that time to make a difference in the world? Her "hunt" creates a problem with her relationship with Jack, who is afraid she'll get hurt and acts like his typical overprotective self, which causes her to keep secrets from him. The other main story line is about Daisy. She's unpredictable and out of control, and Mae is in denial about it. However, through her character, we see a different side of Peter. He's so gentle and caring and we just see a much more likable picture of him in Wisdom. When Daisy causes problems in Australia, the 3 return to Ezra's house temporarily until they can find a hideout. Ezra and Mae finally talk and there is peace again. The solution to Daisy's problem offers a satisfying conclusion to her story. In the end, what made the book so memorable for me was the amount of action and suspense. Alice is becoming stronger and more mature, and she's really a well-developed character at this point. I wish I could say the same for Jack. He's still immature, jealous, and possessive. I do not like Jack and Alice together. She doesn't need him; he's the needy one. Since the beginning, I've wished Alice and Peter were together. I'm holding out for the final book, hoping that Peter will get his happy ending.
