    Chapter 1

    January 1st

    Happy New Year!

And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish. Luke 5:37 KJV

Today we begin a new year. I love this time of year because it represents a new start, a new beginning. Hope is alive and well. The beginning of a new year represents a new cycle. Out with the old, in with the new. We enter it with new expectations; so much awaits us in this New Year. We should be excited of the newness that awaits us.

So let’s start this year by forgetting the past. Just like the scripture in Luke 5:37 states we can not put new wine in old bottles let us not start this New Year with the hurts and disappointments of the past. By forgetting the past you can focus on the new you. Maybe like so many others you have made some new years resolutions. For us to achieve the changes we desire in our lives we must forget the past and start new.

If you feel you need to lose some weight this is a great day to start eating right and start your new exercise program. Maybe you want to cutback or stop smoking, what better day then today. How about being a better parent or friend son or daughter, this is day it all begins new.

You might be saying to yourself that you have tried it all before and failed. That’s ok remember it’s a New Year and a New You. Make the commitment and follow through. Read more, pray more, praise more, and
