..One day when I was seventeen and was alone in my room, I felt a Presence of two spiritual persons in my room. Although I could not see them I knew they were there. I was very quiet and shy and introverted as a youth and felt their presence was significant. I thought, I do not want to be noticed by other people so I pulled the covers up over my head and thought, “Hide me.” Well I believe those two persons were God and an angel. I believe God heard that plea of mine because I read in the book of Isaiah that the Lord has indeed hidden me...
...Well here I am fifty-one years later and still the Lord has hidden me, however I believe I will soon be revealed to the world, as it says in verse three, “Thou art my servant in whom I will be glorified.” I suppose the Lord is referring to Isaiah 60:2, where it says, “...his glory shall be seen upon thee.”

RODDY MOORE
Roddy Moore was a boy who lived across the street from me on East Eighth Avenue, in Vancouver, B.C. Roddy was six years old at the time and I was five. It was about 1949. One day Roddy came to me and said, I have something to show you. He took me to the side of my house and showed me where he had taken a dump. I saw that Roddy had diarrhea and probably could not wait to get home before he went to the bathroom. He told me to tell my dad what he had done. When my dad came home from work I took him to the side of the house to show him what Roddy had done. My dad said, You know what I have to do. I did not know what my dad meant by those words, but I said nothing.
In those days we had a wood stove, and I would cut kindling with an axe in the basement, for the stove in the kitchen. A few days after I showed my dad what Roddy had done, Roddy was murdered with an axe in a vacant lot while on his way to school early in the morning. My sister June found Roddy’s body as she walked to school that morning. The police came to our house seeking more information, and questioned June. However his murderer was never found. One day soon after Roddy’s death, I went down to the basement to cut some kindling for the wood stove, and I could not find the axe for the wood. I never saw that axe again. I believe my dad killed Roddy with the axe and had disposed of it somehow. I have never told anyone of this except a few choice people, and I did not mention Roddy’s name to my dad ever again.
This is he of whom it says in the Bible, Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me.
Isaiah 43:27.
HIDE ME
My name is Webster James Nicol, I am the son of Alex and Mary Nicol. Mary was born on Christmas day, 1908. I have five sisters all older than myself. I believe my parents wanted a boy because Mary was born on December 25th, they thought their child would be someone special. Well one day when I was seventeen and was alone in my room, I felt a Presence of two spiritual persons in my room. Although I could not see them I knew they were there. I was very quiet and shy and introverted as a youth and felt their presence was significant. I thought, I do not want to be noticed by other people so I pulled the covers up over my head and thought, Hide me.
Well I believe those two persons were God and an angel. I believe God heard that plea of mine because I read in the book of Isaiah that the Lord has indeed hidden me. For it says in chapter 49, "Listen O isles unto me; and hearken ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb, from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.
