About this ebook
A man with an undeniable secret, another man without a clue, both have to work together to survive the night. Jacob Williamson is about to encounter his personal Halloween night that's about to test him. As a caretaker for his girlfriend's father, he sits there on that night while they've gone to party. The father, Steve, is lying there watching television. As they mind their own business, Jacob only thinks the small things are just the wind and the dog is easily bothered, but when noises across the porch and talking deer trophies start to get the better of him, he finds to fulfill his role, he only has one thing on his mind, he had to protect Steve, no matter the cost, even his own sanity.

My name is Daniel. "A Night to Remember" is my first publication, and I'm very excited, and I have more on the way. Reading, and even movies, have always been a part of my life, so it isn't unexpected that I love to write. Writing for me comes from my experiences, but also from my active imagination. Life has had many ups and downs for me. I was born with blockage in my throat, causing severe obstructive sleep apnea. When I was 18 I received a Tracheotomy to go around the blockage. So the concept of sleep, dreams, and even the ways of fear have seeped into my subconscious. I just hope to not only encourage, but also to entertain people with what I write.

It was Halloween night. Steve, a man I've been taking care of was bedridden for almost 10 years. I got in good with the family through his daughter, Victoria, whom I've been dating for almost 3 years. His wife and Victoria went to party the night away. His son, Sam, was working late. I was alright alone that night, wasn't much of a partier. Plus, I had just cooked a delicious meal. I got done eating, followed by Steve. I had to get up and let the dog out to do her business. There wasn't much to look at as the sun was setting already in this cold October weather in Michigan. It had tried to rain the other day, succeeded a little then back to cold wind. No beautiful colors, or even any leaves that tussled around on the porch which I had swept off the other day.
I didn't feel any dreariness, except for the cold wind that made me shiver. The darkness closed in quickly that night. I closed the door to go back inside. I never believed in anything that Halloween offered, except for the candy. However, I had to stay away from that. I still couldn't see my toes even if I sucked the bulge
