The use of the Hezekiah name is the Author’s way in writing this information in a unique way for the reader to identify with and experience enjoyable reading. A place where the Author can project his thoughts, wants, wishes and desires and make them gospel for himself. For the reader it is just fun and enjoyable reading at the same time being non-fiction and true.

Personal: Read the article: “A Life or Death Story.”

Caleb Jorge - AuthorReal Life IssuesBorn and raised in the Central State of Oklahoma, in farm country, growing up wasn’t easy because, out of necessity, I became a farm hand at a very young age. But then, this did motivate me to create for myself a better life.Graduating from high school with high honors, I moved into college life where I studied math and music with my goal to become a teacher. This became short lived as the salary would not support a family, so back to college to gain a Design Engineering Degree. My love for writing developed along the way as I continually experienced life living on the edge where life really happens. I soon was recognized as a writer in Philosophy, Theology, Psychology with a sprinkle of Metaphysics mixed in. I have been published in a number of Periodicals across the United States and Canada. When the drop in the economy took this income away, I moved into more creative writing for digital readers. In reading one of my recent published digital books, “Hezekiah, The Gospel According to Cal,” one can read of my experiences in living on the edge of life and my deeper writings which resulted from the same. My growing up years yielded some radical experiences which led to a deeper understanding of life that I later recorded in the articles I have written. As I moved into some semblance of maturity, I do realize that there will always be within me that playful, curious little boy, seeking out what is up and beyond the edge of mundane. My philosophy remains the same: “If I am not living on the edge of life, I am taking up too much space.” This is where life really happens. I am not comfortable in the status quo living in a safe and guaranteed quid pro quo environment.I find that I am always in support of the underdog or the unfortunate. This lifestyle shows in my main interest in Economics as I write about the unfairness of class segregation, the poor, the middle class, the rich in “Dollars From Heaven.” Volume(s) I, II and III.My service to the community is in youth activities. I have many children’s stories which are now being converted into illustrated digital reading for children. I am Chaco, the story teller. Children love the character of Chaco as I animate “The Day Ole Sol Took a Vacation.” Along side this if the mandate is to “Go into All The World – - – I am well represented by the youth that I have mentored and are now in all parts of the world doing the same. But, what’s in a name? Apparently not much.In the era of my ethnic background it was common to call a first born son, Sonny. I suppose it was meant to be endearing but I hated the name with a passion as only a 3 year old can muster up when shouting to his mother: “My name is not Sonny, I am Calvin! I am no longer Sonny, I quickly became Calvin and Calvin was finally allowed to be born. When entering into the college scene it was determined that the name Calvin was to dated. My name was shortened to meet the modernization of time. I am no longer Calvin, I am now Cal.My college minor degree is music. I enrolled in a 7:00 AM choral conducting class. Who is awake at 7 AM? No one, the class was dead. I decided that if the professor was to teach and I was to learn that the class would need to be awakened. I became the class cheer leader. At the end of the semester in the last class of the term, I walked into the class room and noticed a king’s throne had been built at the head of the class. I did a double take and took my place in the class room. Attendance was called and my name was skipped in its regular alphabetic place. At the end of roll call I was asked to come to the head of the class and instructed to kneel on one knee before the throne. For sure, the entire class is now awake. To be a good sport I followed instruction. The professor, sitting on the throne, drew his sword, placed it on my right shoulder, then crossed over to the left and Knighted me “Calico” because I have such colorful personality. He proceeded to voice his appreciation for bringing enthusiasm to the early morning class, a most heartfelt thanks. I am no longer Cal, I am Calico. What’s in a name? For me it depends on what era I am visiting. With my siblings, it’s Sonny; with my childhood friends it’s Calvin; with my college friends it is Cal; with my music friends it is Calico. Story telling it is Chaco.Endearing? Well – - – Yes!To top it all off, Caleb Jorge, my pen name has been added.Today, I am in the Central Valley of California enjoying the sunshine while discovering even more topics of interest that I can write about.Sonny, Calvin, Cal, Calico, Caleb, Chaco, the story teller.

A Great Big Thank You for all the people who put up with my devilment and persistence to be mischievous while experiencing the edge of life. I know there are those who thought I would never make it this far, perhaps hoping that I wouldn’t, including myself at times.

What Others Are Saying About
Hezekiah The Gospel According To Cal
Anyone with the brass to write a book called the Gospel According to Cal is someone I want to read! Hezekiah has so many great verses where do you start? Here are two of my favorites.
"Life is not a Journey to the Grave
With the intention of arriving safely,
In a pretty, well preserved body;
But rather to Skid in Broadside
Thoroughly Used Up
Thorough Worn Out
Loudly Proclaiming
WOW! WHAT A RIDE!"
Hezekiah 41:2
I love this kind of broad full out living approach to life. Obviously so does Caleb. Luckily for him, angels kept watch and brought him back from the edge on several occasions. Here's another verse from Hezekiah:
"Five Jewish People who
Changed the Way we see our World:
Moses said: "The Law is Everything.
Jesus said: "Love is Everything
Freud said: Sex is Everything
Then came Einstein who said:
Everything is Relative.Hezekiah at Random
These are the kind of quick pearls that make you gasp and appreciate the depth and breadth of this author.
One of the best gifts of this book is a chapter called A Whole World Full of Blessings. This chapter should be required reading for every human. Counting these kinds of blessings should be taught.
The first half of this book made me laugh out loud many times. I took a break and read the second half the next day. This half leaves me pondering. How fabulous to see so many dimensions of a person in one volume.
This book is fresh, gutsy, powerful, fun and enjoyable and produces deep reflection. I highly recommend you buy this book as quick as you can and follow his advice about How to get out of the Rut.

The Faces Of Cal
WELCOME INSIDE my personal thoughts. There is more drawn from my mind, from my deep thoughts, then from the sound of my voice. Thus my writings have more value than my speech. This book is for anyone who wishes to peek in; friends, family, strangers, acquaintances; all are welcome.
Written in this book are living thoughts that enter my mind as I strive to become all that I can be within the confused world around me. I have placed these thoughts in my book of Hezekiah, The Gospel According to Cal.
In addition to my living thoughts, this book contains a compilation of articles that I have written for Periodicals in the past along with truism, axioms, antidotes and parables for living. And of course it wouldn’t be complete without including some real life experiences along the way. I call this devilment and mischief.
IT'S NOT MY INTENT that the reader read into my personal experiences as coming from a macho braggart. This doesn't even enter into the formula. I have always lived life on the edge where life really happens. It is here where I learn to cope and confront. The experiences are real, I chose to experience them, sometimes for thrills and other times for learning; both giving me an adrenalin rush. The learning part was not always planned but there it is and not to be ignored. In each personal experience the reader is asked to enter into the drama, read the experience, read the thoughts and read what I learned through the experience perhaps understanding their own life experiences as teachers instead of just happenings.
My very first Hezekiah Instruction to you is: Don’t do as I do; do as I tell you.
Hezekiah 55:30. You will understand this as you read the first half of the book.
There is not a book of Hezekiah in the Scriptures. Hezekiah is not a prophet in the true sense of the word. Although his sayings are well quoted, his mark in history is as the King of Judah. His reign is placed by historians at 715 to 686 BC. He is one of the most prominent kings of Judah mentioned in the Hebrew Bible.
Hezekiah in his rule enacted sweeping religious reforms, during which he removed the worship of foreign deities from the Temple in Jerusalem and restored the worship of Yahweh, God of Israel, as instructed in the Torah.
Hezekiah is portrayed by the Hebrew Testament as a great and good King. He is one of the few kings praised so highly as have trusted in the Lord God of Israel; so that there was no one like him among all the kings of Judah after him, or those who were before him.
II Kings 18:5 He is a king who took a stand for integrity.
THE NAME HEZEKIAH only sounds like he could have been a prophet of old and a Biblical writer and it is in this sense that I use it for my own brand of proverbs, truisms, axioms, and antidotes. He was his own person, a rebel in a sense, with integrity, with whom I fully identify and balance my own character.
The use of the name is my way in writing this information in a unique way for the reader to enjoy and identify. It is my honor to share my gifts, talents, thoughts, wisdom and, of course, some outright foolishness. My book of Hezekiah is a place where I can place all these thoughts, wants, wishes and desires and make them gospel for me. For you, the reader, it is just fun reading, saying to yourself, I can’t believe he did that.
An example is: Thou shalt not provoke Cal to anger.
Hezekiah 1:1. This is my foremost rule that is given the elite privilege of being chapter 1 and verse 1. All else comes after this. :) Then along comes the thought: It’s not the miles I have traveled, it’s how I have lived them.
Hezekiah 4:32. Or, consider this, If you hate your cat you will come back as a mouse in your next life.
Hezekiah 77:34
All people have many emotions; laughing. crying, contemplating, thoughtful, whimsical, seriousness, to ecstatic. At any given moment, on any given day, any one of our emotions will surface. Psychologists say that it has a lot to do with our surroundings and what is happening inside. I suppose that they are right. At the same time, we are in control, or should be.
A LOT HAS HAPPENED in my life time that wasn't planned. But a lot has happened that I did plan. Most of the time in my most interesting experiences they happened on the spur of the moment, a whim that hit me and I was into it before counting the consequences. I suppose this is the challenge and what made the experience exhilarating. Planning was far too mundane and eliminated the suspense of living on the edge and experiencing the sharp razor edges that lie in ambush.
This is what I write about. The joys, the excitement, the adrenalin rush, along with the disappointments. You see, life will not leave one empty handed when just accepted as it comes to us, then challenge it further and move on to be all that one can be. Life will fulfill all our fondest dreams if we only dare to dream them.
I hope that you will find these stories enjoyable, inspiring, usable, and curious. I count on it stimulating your thinking enough to make some of the thoughts a model of your very own. These stories were chosen as a cross section of my experiences; they are in no way
