About this ebook
If you are reading this then you have been told that you have a problem with cholesterol. You are possibly already on drugs to help address this; or been told that you should take them. Or you could be in the position I was in just a year ago when my doctor’s told me that the main arteries in my heart were more than 90% blocked by cholesterol and that without an extensive, and incidentally life threatening operation, I would die.
Well I didn’t have the operation and I didn’t die – well, not yet. But the fact remains that today I have a normal life expectancy for my age, I am 54 years old; and that was something I didn’t have a year ago so I am grateful for that. When I went to the doctor just last month I was told that my arteries are more than 90% open and operational and I have the health of a 32 year old. I have amazing quality of life – yes I changed my diet a bit, and do a bit more than I used to in the “exercise” category but none of the things I do in my life today feels like a sacrifice, or a hardship or even a chore. So how did I do that when a year ago I was virtually a living corpse?
This book explains the whole system - what cholesterol is and how we "get" it; a brief rundown on the typical medications used to treat high cholesterol as well as an action plan, diet tips and even recipes to get you going. Follow the action plan and within 30 days your cholesterol levels will be considerably lower.

HiMy name is Lisa Oliver and welcome to my Author page. After spending years writing non-fiction books, the lure of fiction and the men in my head finally had me sitting down and writing The Reluctant Wolf, an M/M paranormal erotic romance in November 2013. Since that time I have written one hundred titles including the Cloverleah Pack series, the Bound and Bonded series, Alpha and Omega series, Stockton Wolves series, The Hellhound Collar series, The Gods Made Me Do It series and many more. All of my books are M/M (or M/M/M) come with a guaranteed HEA and absolutely no cheating.I strongly believe in the power of love - and all of my books are based on the true mate trope. However, for me, insta-lust does not equal insta-love and all of my books tell of the journey my main characters need to go through to reach that state of being in love with someone special. Some of my books can be read as standalone, but in cases like the Cloverleah series you get a good idea of the back stories of secondary characters by reading the books in order.I love to hear from all of my readers so please feel free to catch up with me on Facebook, Twitter or through my blog.

I have amazing quality of life – yes I changed my diet a bit, and do a bit more than I used to in the exercise
category but none of the things I do in my life today feels like a sacrifice, or a hardship or even a chore. So how did I do that when a year ago I was virtually a living corpse?
What happened was that after my doctor gave me my diagnosis as well as a lot of information about the operation he wanted me to have, I went home shell-shocked. I mean I had known I was not as fit as I was when I was in my twenties; but who is? I also know I had felt a bit ill for a while – that is why I went to the doctors in the first place. But I didn’t really think anything was wrong with me and to be told that my heart was literally struggling to function was quite a scary thought to me.
Another feeling I had after speaking to my doctor was one of hopelessness. I didn’t think at that time that I had any option but to have the surgery; but the thought of going through a process that could just as easily kill me was just as scary as doing nothing – the helplessness stemmed from the thought what other options did I have?
Well as it turns out I did have another option – one that wouldn’t threaten my life, but enhance it; one that wasn’t scary or stressful, but easy and one that I could easily incorporate into my daily life, with barely any effort at all. And the great news for you is that this book outlines what I did to challenge my high cholesterol problem and I explain in here exactly what you can do to combat your issues with cholesterol.
In the first part of the book we discuss just what is cholesterol; why we need it (because we do need some of it, just like fats); how high cholesterol is caused; how it is tested and what those numbers your doctors uses actually mean in terms of your general health. I believe to forge a really good attack against a problem you need to know your enemy (your cholesterol levels) and what you are dealing with (the risk this has to your health). The second chapter then discusses the traditional methods that doctors use to treat high cholesterol and a break down of the drugs they recommend. You need to know the side effects of the traditional treatment
