The Goan cuisine is a wonderfully mouthwatering combination of varied influences. The two major ethnic communities in Goa are Christians and Hindus.
Their methods of cooking are quite different but on most of the culinary points they come together and add flavour to their daily life.
Pork vindaloo is a good example of the united effort of these two communities. This particular dish is relished by almost every person in Goa.
There is a very significant influence of the Portuguese cooking on Goan cuisine. Much of the Goan cuisine is chili hot, spicy and pungent.

Goa is a very beautiful small state on the Western coast of India; it was a Portuguese colony for a very long time.
