One of Americas favorite comfort foods, potato soup, is served everywhere from steak houses to country diners. Now, we are making a creamy potato soup recipe that’s dress up with smoked Gouda cheese.
Let’s start with 1 tablespoon of dried basil, ½ stick of butter, 2 cups of shredded smoked Gouda cheese, 6 small red potatoes that I’ve diced.
I’m going to show you an easy way to dice a potato.
First take one edge off, turn it over, take the next edge off, turn it over, till you have a square.
Set it back upright, one strip, two, and three. Set it back up right, one, two, turn it towards you and go down and dice your potato.
Two carrots that I’ve diced, 2 celery stalks, and 1 small diced onion, 1 teaspoon of garlic shallot puree or 2 cloves of garlic, 2 cups of heavy cream, and 6 cups of chicken stock.
Now that I have prepped all my ingredients for this soup, I turn my pot on medium high. I’m going to melt the butter down and
