About this ebook

Broth: Elixir of Life is the first book dedicated to exploring the benefits of bone broth. In this book the nutritional benefits of broth are explored in depth. It also explains why drinking broth is revolutionary and can change your health and change your life. The book explains the many methods of making broth and the pros and cons of each one. It has specific recipes for all kinds of broth from chicken broth to shellfish broth and everything in between. The second half of the book has a wide variety of recipes so that everyone can find a recipe that uses broth and appeals to them. The book also includes a section on sneaky broth ideas for those who want their family consuming more broth but can't seem to make it happen. Finally there are a couple of grain free bread recipes that you can make to accompany your soup. Nothing goes with soup quite so well as a nice roll or slice of bread.

    Special Thanks

First I must thank my family for their support in giving me the space to write this book. They really picked up my slack while I was off typing.

Next I must thank Jen Pagano for her incredible photography. Please note that all of the great photos in this book were taken by her. Most of the others were taken by me.

I also want to thank my Mother, Lynn Lacoss, for using her talents to make the cover of this book.

I want to thank my Nourished Living Network blogging friends for their encouragement and support, I could not have done this without your help.

I also need to thank Pat Robinson for asking me to write a book for the Art of Healing E-Book Bundle. I never would have gotten started without her simple act of asking me to write it.

Lastly I want to thank the women of Nourishing Our Families and especially the Cave Women. Your talents and passions inspire me and help me to see the potential within myself.

    About the Author

Patty was introduced to traditional foods in 2006. Broth was one of the first foods that she attempted to make and it quickly became a regular part of her family's diet. When she began GAPS ™ for her whole family in 2009 her broth making went to a whole new level. Patty's family of four consumes approximately 2 quarts of broth every day. She has tried many different ways to make and consume broth and shares them with you in this book.

Patty has been blogging at www.LovingOurGuts.com since November of 2011. She began blogging as a way of sharing her family's healing journey. She continues to share recipes and information that she has learned while she pursues health and healing for her family.

Patty is not a health care professional. She simply has a passion for making information that she has learned easy to understand so that others can benefit from her experiences. You should, of course, consult with your own heath care professional before making any changes in your diet or health practices. Nothing that Patty says is to be construed as medical advice.
