About this ebook
This could be a book of forms. It is not. In this inspiring and sometimes funny book, you learn to think for yourself. You learn how to deal with collection agencies and the people who work for them.
If you found this book by searching for debt collector, you know that there are many books on how to collect a debt, there are a few books of forms written by lawyers, and there are some confessions.
The good news is you don’t have to talk on the phone unless you need an address. You can immediately stop harassing calls. So, if Pusillanimous Prevaricating Perfidy calls you, you don’t have to answer. If you need to call them, you’ll know exactly what to say.
Yes, you will have to write them a letter and there are some sample letters included. However, you can adapt the letters to fit your situation.
The book does discuss some of the unethical sneaky methods collection agencies use. You probably already know that they will lie, cheat, and sometimes steal. This is your chance to fight back.
If you were going to fight somebody, would you want to know how to strike all the proper poses or would you like to know how to smack someone up alongside the head?
It is time to smack some jerks!

Okay. I wrote the book so you could call this a miniature autobiography. I have been an entrepreneur or salesman for over 40 years. This is not my first book. Between 1976 and 1986, I wrote 27 books on computers and robots. From 1987 to 2013, I was a financial advisor specializing in middle class families. During that time, I met with thousands of families in their homes. Yes, it was thousands. I met more than 200 families a year. I learned some things about how people think about money and what they do about it.In addition, I had all kinds of fancy education that has little or nothing to do with you and your family. For instance, I took a 3 year Certified Financial Planner course. It was mostly mathematics. It was like the algebra you learned in high school. I never used it.For years, I heard about how bad collection agencies are but I really didn't know how bad they were until I experienced it myself. My story is in the first chapter of How To Fight Debt Collectors And Win!The first thing I learned is that the “experts” including me were wrong. I gave the same bad advice about debt collectors that everyone else does. For instance, I told people to call the collection agency and try to solve the problem. That is a really bad advice. Don’t do it!Debt management is simple (that doesn't mean it is easy). I knew I could show people how to get out of debt. I had been doing that for years. Dealing with debt collectors is not the same as getting out of debt so I knew I needed to give my clients better advice. When I really understood how to deal with debt collectors, I knew I had to write a book. I wish somebody had told me this information seven years ago. It would have saved me some serious money and a lot of grief! What really irritates me about debt collectors is their lack of respect for you. They don't seem to care about anyone. I know that I do. I would like to help you deal with these jerks.

INTRODUCTION
Welcome. This book is part of a series based on my online course The Essence of Money. If you would like more information about the course, you can download a free eBook here. At that point, we should be friends, so please tell me who you are by filling out the contact form. The course is audio/visual. There are links to four free lessons in the eBook. The course will teach you how to control money rather than letting money control you. It has a special section on how to get out of debt.
The most important thing I can teach you is keep good records. You don’t have to know a bunch of fancy stuff. All you have to do is keep good records. I read once that if you want someone to remember something, tell them three times. Therefore, my comment for today is keep good records.
This could be a book of forms. It is not. Instead, I want to help you think for yourself. No form is going to cover every situation and your situation is different from everyone else’s. Yes, I’ve included some letters in Chapter Four. My emphasis is on teaching you how to deal with collection agencies and the people who
