    This book delves into the two positions perplexing the Black nation in America as a result of chattel slavery. One is the desire to stay with their former slave-masters and seek civil rights, despite being subjected to genocide through multi-forms of integration.

    The other is written by Messenger Elijah Muhammad: "We believe the offer of integration is hypocritical and is made by those who are trying to deceived the black people into believing that their 400 year old open enemy of freedom, justice and equality are, all of a sudden, their "friends." Furthermore, we believe that such deception is intended to prevent black people from realizing that their time in history has arrived for the separation from the whites of this nation. If the white people are truthful about their profess friendship toward the so-called Negro, they can prove it by dividing up America with their slaves."

      Chapter 1: Appeal For Peace

      As-Salaam-Alaikum

      In the Name of Allah, the most Merciful, to Whom all Holy Praise is due, the Lord of the Worlds, the most Merciful, Master of the day of judgment, in which we now live. I thank Thee, Oh Allah, in the Name of Master Fard Muhammad, for our meeting here this afternoon.

      I and the brothers and sisters would like to thank the Mayor and Police of Phoenix for the opportunity to speak here in their beautiful building. I'm thankful that you meet here or anywhere to hear our voice, we’re thankful. We want to be as a friend of them, not enemies. We want to live in peace with the people of sin, not in war. We want to show the people of sin that Muslims are not aggressive. We want to show the people of sin that we didn't come to Phoenix with aggressive intentions. We want Phoenix to know that we are from God and not from the devil. The devil has never kept peace anywhere that he’s went. We want Phoenix to know that we are not here trying to boast of nothing but the truth. We are not teaching anything but the truth. We teach the truth and carry it into practice.

      When we first moved to Phoenix, we had a very hard time trying to get settled in peace. I want to thank you, although you probably have got tired of starting trouble, but we are here today to say that we don't intend to start any trouble. For we cannot be examples of righteous and the examples of peace, while rolling up and down the streets with a 45 caliber gun in our pocket, or walking the streets with a knife, provoking people to come out to fight. We are not here for that. This is not the way of Islamic people. We are people who want peace. We will fight if attacked, because this is the law of nature. But, I want you to remember this, my neighbors of peace, that Elijah Muhammad did not buy a home here to start trouble with you. If there is any trouble, you will have to start it.
